  1. i m looking to buy flashtriggers and recievers and im afraid i dont know all options... Im using some nikon sb900 but in future i would like to use some studiostrobes. Hss capability or something like that would be great... Any advice? Thx
  2. I have an XT2 with Godox X1TF and TT350F. I'm unable to get flash to sync faster than 1/250. I'm shooting with Auto FP, TTL and unable to change the camera to Manual flash. Pretty sure I'm missing something stupid here. Edit / with photos: I'm starting to think maybe I'm describing my problem incorrectly. First of all, I've already stated that FP and TTL are enabled. I've also been testing with the TT350F attached to the camera and I'm getting the same results. The real issue is that the exposure difference between 250 and 500 is quite dramatic. Like, one is too bright and one is too dark. This is more noticeable with smaller apertures with the subject further away. If I stop down to 2.8 and shoot a subject at 1M, the exposure between 250 and 500 is closer. Although, at 250, I'm definitely still seeing the effect of the flash (bright spot) where as at 500 I think I'm just getting a better exposure just because I've stopped down and the SS is faster than the flash. The following snapshots are both f8, iso200. 1/250 https://www.dropbox.com/s/yu2u6k7rhzmx5gj/250.png?dl=0 1/500 https://www.dropbox.com/s/3pjvc8wztx7qcrm/500.png?dl=0
  3. Hello , I have the Nissin i40 ,pretty happy with it and i don't want to buy the bigger yet more powerfull i60 .So my questions are: 1. Has anyone received the Nissin i40 updated with HSS ? 2. Is there a limitation depending the version? 3. Does it work with Nissin Air 1 Commander ? (i've searched on the internet and found all possilble answers)
  4. Hi fellow Fuji shooters! I have been covering FIBA Basketball U18 European Championship Division B in Tallinn for FIBA Europe and as on Tuesday I received my new Godox AD200 flashes and Godox X1T-F transmitter, I have been trying them out on court! I have to say that at first it took some time to get used to new system as I haven't used flashes too much with Fuji before, but when I got the grip of it, it works well. HSS doesn't lose too much power with AD200 strobes, which is surprising and that way it works great for sports! The only issue I have found is that about every 6-7 shot I take the flash syncs too early or too late so I miss the shot. I don't know if there is something with my shutter speed (1/1000 - 1/2000s) or the venues. I hope to get more experience with the new system in different setups in upcoming weeks and hope to keep you also up to date with my findings! At least after to days of using the system I'm more than satisfied! 5. I have been working with the Metz M400 and the Serene Automation MX20/RX20 for a few weeks now. The M400 is a great fit for xseries cameras. I use it on my Xt2 and Xpro2. It has worked without any problems ever since i updated it to the newest firmware. HSS and TTL are great. Its good as a on camera bounce flash as the head swivels 180 degree in both directions (one of my biggest annoyances on the Godox TT350F which only goes 90 to the left). Recharge time is relatively fast and I use it with 4 eneloop batteries. I actually prefer the Menu to a normal Flash interface like on the Yongnuos. Build Quality is quite good. The head movement could be a bit stiffer. I had a few Problems when attaching something like a flash disk as it is too heavy. Also the battery door is a bit fiddly. I find it quite good looking. Because of its ease of use and compactness i take it everywhere and now use bounce and fill flash more often. The wireless trigger from Serene Automation just arrived today so i can't give my final verdict on it. HSS and TTL worked out of the box with the m400. Some features are a bit counter intuitive but i guess once you got used to it its quite an effective little device. As the MX Unit doesn't have display i found it useful to map the flash settings to one of the xt2 function buttons. after that its easy to use through the in camera menu. I first thought that wireless manual power adjustment wasn't working but you have to leave the flash in TTL at all times. Right now thats all i can say about the Roboshoot. I hope this was helpful and feel free to ask questions This was taken with 1600 of a second in ttl and off camera
  6. Hello, for studio work I have Elinchrom D-Lite 4 strobes.. Now I'm looking for outdoor HSS flash system.. I'm really like Elinchroms new deep umbrellas.. Is it worth invest in Nissin i60A strobe units with Air 1 commander? Then I will be able to use mount for umbrella and flash unit...
  7. Hi all. I faced a problem and tried to find the solution in internet but failed to find the answer. So may be users of this forum can help me and other Fuji X camera users to find the solution. The problem is: I have Fujifilm X-T1 and Godox Witstro AD 360 Ws. With standard Godox FT-16 transmitter and receiver everything works well. But HSS is not working. Godox recommends to buy special trigger Cells II. So I ordered that transmitter - Godox Cells-IIN, but it is also do not work in HSS mode (I switched Witstro to HHS mode of course). So I would like to ask, if someone uses HSS wireless transmitter|receiver with off-camera flashes or studio strobes supporting HSS? Could you share your experience? update: today an idea came to my head, may be instead of one transmitter Cells II-N i should buy two and use one as transmitter attached to camera hot shoe and another one as receiver attached to flash hot shoe.
  8. Hi Guys, I'm new to this forum. I was looking for off-camera HSS solution for Fuji. I just bought a X-Pro2 and just wanted to let you know that I manage to get High Speed Sync to work. If anyone is interested. I bought two new Cactus V6 II receivers. They clearly specify on their website that they do HSS with Fuji cameras as well. They manage to find a workaround. See the attached document... My setup was: X-Pro2 + Cactus receiver V6 II (in Tx mode) Cactus receiver V6 II (in Rx mode) with the Canon flash Tom Update: the only issue I found so far is that the lever from the Cactus cannot be locked as the Shutter Speed/ISO lever obstruct it....
