  1. If anyone can guess what animal this is from, I'll photograph a brownie just for you and send it to the winner... ;-) Wi.
  2. OK, today's new mystery animal. Any guesses?
  3. Tibia of extinct bison bone (Pleistocene Epoch) discovered in Kotzebue, Alaska. Approx. 20,000 years old. 800 ASA with the X100, handheld in afternoon daylight.
  4. Our never-ending product shoot - 71 down, 280 to go. This time an antique 19th century comb carved from water buffalo horn from the island of Sumba in Indonesia. Shot first on a piece of wet ironwood for a bit of drama, and then in our usual teak bowl for a bit of contrast. Enjoy...
  5. Trying to squeeze the most out of my X100 during the meteorite product shoot. The items are small - between 4 and 7 cms - and shooting at a distance of 13 cms still doesn't give me enough detail. So a 30% crop. A bit of a hack, but they're always only going to be screen-only. Glad I've got 4288 pixels to play with
  6. Thank-you for approving my request to join the forum. We're using a 5-year-old Fuji X100 to shoot a large amount of inventory in our shop in Bali, Indonesia. Lots of mammoth tusk carvings, ancient flint blades, antique wooden carvings... and our meteorite collection. So far so good: 45 products finished out of 335... :-) Looking forward to meeting you, sharing our results, and hoping for some tips and feedback....
  7. Hi All, We just finished photographing our very rare antique-bladed Balinese kris with carving of the Hindu God Ganesha for handle... Any comments appreciated... Best, Wi.
  8. Hi, I had purchased my x100t in 2016 and have used it moderately. i took out the camera after 1-2 months, which was kept safely without battery and card since I was travelling and didn't need it I find when I select f8 on the aperture ring, the value on lcd in f2.8 and if I selected f16 it is showing f5.6. Basically the wrong values please suggest how I can fix this at home thanks Sid Mumbai, india
  9. From the album: The Bone Set

From yesterday's shoot of some very old bones. This specimen is extra dark red - and begins to really shine with some water painted on it with a thick brush. Diffused daylight on an overcast day, and handheld with the X100.

  10. From the album: The Bone Set

Two more from yesterday's shoot of some very old bones. This specimen is extra dark red - and begins to really shine with some water painted on it with a thick brush. Diffused daylight on an overcast day and handheld with the X100.
