  1. I have recently purchased a Fujifilm X30 and am still fairly unfamiliar with it but I seem to be experiencing an odd issue. The camera display seems to flicker from side to side, with this flickering is a clicking sound which you can hear and feel through the camera body. It seems to be associated with moving the Camera, as if the camera is reacting to the motion. I have no idea what this could be so any help would be much appreciated. Many thanks, Ben
  2. Hi, Does anyone else notice the display flickering during zooming in AF-S mode? Can someone else with an X30 please check if yours does the same thing. If it does, it may be a design 'feature', if it doesn't then I will need to send my camera back as it appears to have a fault. Whilst I am zooming from wide to tele, with shutter release half-pressed and the focus is thus locked, I hear a sound (like the autofocus-mechanism sound) from the front of the camera. Each click is accompanied with a bright flicker on the screen. This is repeatable. When zooming from wide to tele it clicks 3 times, through the range from wide to tele. it does it every time. When zooming the other way (with shutter release still half-pressed), then I hear the same three clicks, but there is no screen flicker in that zoom direction. I am assuming the the X30 is re-focusing during zooming whilst the shutter is half-pressed. The flicker happens in the EVF as well as the LCD. I have IS switched off, and also advanced anti-blur is switched off. It is not related to fluorescent light flicker, as it was doing it in daylight this morning. It does not flicker if focus is locked with AF/AE lock button. It does not flicker in MF when zooming. Therefore, I deduce this to be autofocus-related, and may be some interference between the AF-mech electronics and the display. Firmware was 1.01, I updated to 1.03 and the behaviour is the same. Can anyone with an X30 please check your camera's behaviour for me please? FWIW, the X10 doesn't do that, probably because it won't refocus during zooming with the release half-pressed. Thanks in advance.
  3. Hello. I've recently noticed that when i half press the shutter to focus on my x100v, the screen flickers until acquiring focus. It mostly occur between f 2.2-3.2 in AF-S mode, in dark indoor enviorments. Outside in daylight it doesn't manifest. Also, of i put the camera in Manual or AF-C the 'flicker' goes away..it only affects AF-S mode. It does not affect the quality of the photos or the exposure or anything else, it's just a visual thing Firmware version 2.12 (latest). Video: https://streamable.com/afxgwb https://streamable.com/odcu40 I've seen this issue addressed on other x system cameras where the LCD/evf was going bright but it doesn't look the same on my camera. Mine is darkening the LCD/evf instead of brighteening for a fraction of a second and it kinda makes no sense. It's like the exposure drop a couple of stops for a fraction of a second. Looking at the lens while focusing it opens completly wide and closes back to the set apperture really fast while half pressing the shutter...so it should do exactly the opposite, bumping the exposure, not dropping it. When I switch aperture to f4 or above, that dark-bright flicker disappear 🤔 really weird stuff. If this is not a normal behaviour I suspect it to be firmware related because I didn't noticed this before the 2.12 version..or it was there from the start but didn't notice as i mostly shoot over f 5.6. Does anyone encounter the same on their x100v or any other fuji camera or can test it with their x100v in the same conditions? Dark room/dim light, f 2.2-3.2, AF-S mode? Does anyone know why is this happening? Any tip or solution that can make this 'issue' go away will be really appreciated! Thanks!
  4. Has anyone encountered an issue where after attaching or changing a lens and turning the camera on the screen flickers like shown on this video I recorded earlier? I have tried cleaning the contact pins on the camera and the lens but the issue still persists. The lenses I have are the 23mm 1.4 and the 18-55 kit lens. There is no issue when turning on the camera without a lens or when using a manual lens without contact pins. The flickering also happens randomly, sometimes attaching a lens produces no issue, sometimes it does. I don't know what causes it. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
