  1. Hello, My shutter has been stuck at 1/500 and I can't change it. I can move the shutter wheel, but shutter in camera doesn't do anything. I have been trying rotating wheel in front but that doesn't help. Anyone got any experience with this ? thanks.
  2. So my V6II Cactus trigger just broke. Turns out the power switch is garbage. While I was fixing the power switch I figured I would try fixing the loose fitting shoe mount. I found that the screws in the mount are too loose and that once apart I could access and tighten them. This solved my fit issues. I wrote a quick post about it here if you want to see the pictures. http://brett-martin.com/2017/12/12/fixing-the-cactus-v6ii-flash-transmitter/ Unfortunately after seeing how the power switch is constructed I don't think I can keep using the Cactus system, even though I just got HSS working. Going to try out the Godox system as they have a huge range of options from a tiny on camera flash to huge monoblocks that all work with Fuji.
  3. I purchased my X-T2 in January and instantly fell in love. One of my favorite features was its use of buttons and dials along the camera for quickly changing settings rather than going through the menus. Along with the physical features of the camera I was also blown away by the auto focus Fujifilm was able to develop for this amazing camera. I use AF almost exclusively and with that I was using the Focus Lever (Focus Stick) quite often as well. After a few months with the X-T2 I noticed an issue with my Focus Stick, it would no longer go in the upward or up-diagonal directions. I kept using the camera for events and shoots I needed it for, working around the limitations I'd found and hoped that with the software updates to come my problem would be fixed. After downloading both updates it seems my issue is still present. I've searched a few times to see if anyone else has had this issue but haven't found an answer and instead was met with frustration. I'm hoping someone here can help me as Fujifilms website has also been of no help to me.
  4. I bought a second hand xt-10 a few years ago and used it with pride, but now it just acts up really wierdly. So i have a 27mm f2.8 pancake lens for the camera that I think i bought with the camera house, im not sure if its the lens or the body thats faulty. Whenever I connect the lens to the camera, the red led on the back blinks red 6times and none of the buttons work. I cant take pictures, i cant change apature/ss/go into menus/function menu, all buttons just gets disabled apart from viewing the images. If I take of the lens (use camera without lens setting is turned on) i can use it normally, i can press all buttons and go into the settings, take images etc. but as fast as I connect the lens again. Locked out. I've tried taking out the battery multiple times and 1/100 times i can use the camera, then when i take an image, again, im locked out and can't do s***. You think its just the lens (have no other AF lenses i can try) or the body thats broken? And yes i have cleaned the connection pads and pins on the lens and the camera. Its not that.
  5. I'm just getting into photography, bought my first mirrorless today. Snagged an X-T20 kit with the 18-55mm from a local shop, and I was super stoked. The store is very reputable. I was using the camera for a few hours tonight and it was fine, but then randomly after changing it to High Performance mode, I was using the touch screen to focus, and the camera locked up with the green focus light blinking with the LCD still working. Even flipping the on-off didn't shut down the camera, and I had to remove the battery in order to turn it off. Now the camera does this every time I even try to focus, whether it be pressing the shutter release or touching the screen. Sometimes the screen completely locks as well and other times the screen + sensor is still active but locked. Nothing seems to resolve the issue: I have reformatted the SD card, reset all the settings I think I am able to, and nothing seems to change. I'm quite frustrated. I had updated all of the firmware (body + lens) before ever using the camera. Any ideas on what the issue may be??? I feel like my best bet is to just bring it back to the store, but this was their last kit, so I'm pretty bummed.
