  1. Moving air and dust when zooming I read about two potential problems, which I cannot fully understand – both related to moving air and dust when zooming. Fuji vs. Fuji says when comparing Fuji´s standard zooms: “Eye-blow: Another area the 18-55mm f/2.8-4 wins in is eye-blow. If there is any, I can’t feel it. With the other two lenses, you might dry your eye out if you zoom out too quickly. The 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 is the worst here.“ And Philip Sutton writes in his blog „However, it is the dust and filth that creates the amazing light that one can only find in Myanmar. The thought of sucking all of this into my camera each time I zoomed, was not comforting. … I started reading a lot about the 18-135 mm lens. I loved the fact that it is sealed.“ I cannot understand the eye-blow problem at all, because there is no direct connection between lens and ocular in mirrorless cameras. The dust problem I can understand, but I have a hard time to believe that this is a relevant problem. Does anybody have a thought, experience or deeper insight into this moving air and dust “problem”?
  2. I am taking pictures since almost 40 years a lot, often when raining. Although i have never owned a weather resistant lens/camera until recently i never ever had a problem. When reading in this forum and blogs some people say WR is a big plus, others say it is overrated. Thus, my question: Who ever had problems with a non-WR or a WR-lens when raining?
  3. Hi everyone. Being a street photographer I'd like being able to move freely and to capture the 'decisive moment' also in the less favourable conditions. Two days ago I've been to a Fuji presentation and I asked to the Fuji guy if there is a plan for a XF23mmF1.8 R OIS WR I really like this focal length and having a lens able to face a urban humid night using exposures like 1/10 without adding camera shakes is something I'd really love. Yes, 1.4 will be better for sure but I'd like also a smaller and lighter lens and I'm ready to trade a little of luminosity for a more compact design. Using an X-T1 having a WR lens will give me the freedom to focus on the picture instead of worrying about the equipment. The Fuji guy told me this is not a lens that they are thinking about since F1.4 is more than enough to face every challenge in street photography. It looks no one is doing such a lens, so probably I am wrong. Since I continue to like the idea of having such a lens, what am I missing? Mauro, Ravenna, Italy
  4. Why does the 35 f2 not say WR? http://www.fujirumors.com/xf-100-400-aperture-range-now-from-4-5-to-5-6-poll-better-slower-smaller-or-bigger-faster/ Is it not supposed to be?
  5. According to the Road map the 35mm f2.0 WR was supposed to be listed after the 16mm but before the 90mm. The (0mm is being announced next monday so what about the new 35mm ????

  7. I would like to start the campaign for a new XF23mm f1.4 WR lens. The original 23mm is my most used lens, by a mile. But I seem to have managed to damage it with rain and snow, while shooting on the south coast this last week. It now has a watermark across one of the internal elements. While I understand there is the f2.0 WR version, in my opinion it is not as good as the f1.4. So Fuji, please could you update this excellent lens to include weather resistance
