I bought an X-Pro2 with the new compact 35mm f/2 WR lens and am really happy with it. The combination is great for using the OVF, which for me is a big deal with this camera. I take mainly landscape pictures so the logical lens to get next is the 16mm f/1.4. But how does this work with the OVF? Has anyone tried this lens on the X-Pro2? How much does it block the view using the OVF? And are the framelines reasonably accurate?

Hi everybody, First thread ! After using and loving my X-PRO1 for half a year I came to dive in the functions I use rarely only. Surprisingly enough, I use the EVF/LCD practically 100% of the time ! Time and again I encountered users passionately defending their need for the optical viewfinder OVF of course expecting Fuji to carry it over to an X-PRO2. I found that a bit strange because I just find that OVF to be totally unprecise. But maybe it´s just my specimen so I give you something to compare with your experience... See the attached pic. That picture is totally random and awful to look at so you can concentrate on the facts: I had aligned the post and the edge of the road with the bottom and right framelines of the OVF- look what I got ! Meanwhile, the top and left edges of the picture are as close as I expected from experience with my Leica M6 from the early 2000s- totally useable. Is this what I can expect from any X-PRO1/XF35 combo or is this too much ? I cannot find a technical reason why the LCD framelines on this camera shouldn´t be much more exact than with a Leica M- the electronics have all the data (distance, focal lenght, camera orientation etc) to do a better job than the mechanical rangefinder, right ? This thing doesn´t spoil my X-PRO1 experience at all- that´s the camera I settled right in with (size, IQ, lenses, "feel"), but I´m close to having it serviced just to find out about that OVF... What do you say ?

Hello, I am having some trouble with my ERF function on my XPRO 2. It really started after I implemented the 4.00 update so I'm wondering if that has caused it. Since then I have done the 4.01 update and the problem still persists. After doing a lot of google searches (and forum searches) I found that most people this happened to solved it by setting the AF to "Single Point," so I did the same and the ERF still does NOT function. Just to be clear the front switch DOES toggle between OVF and EVF with no problem, when I push the switch to the left (toward the lens) the ERF no longer does anything. I tried to reset everything via the Menu and that did no help either. Are there any other settings I should know about to get the ERF to pop up in the corner, or that would keep it from functioning? Or is there a way to factory reset (resetting firmware as well) utilizing more than the options in the menu? Hope someone else out there can help! Thanks, Jacob

HI, Just recently the EVF on my xpro2 intermittently fails to replace the OVF when switching between the two (or when on "EVF + eye sensor"). What happens is that the OVF does not disappear and the EVF gets "overlaid" on top and I see two superimposed images, the optical and the electronic. Has anyone had that problem before? I've tried all sorts of settings, switching on and off, but to no avail. Many thanks for any advice / help! Hani
