  2. Hi, I own th XT-1. After searched for opinions and "way of mind" all over - I want to advice with the FUJI'S. I am A photography is A hobby for me. I like taking shots at streets - people And , situations happen at street , interesting buildings , abandoned buildings. At the moment I using the XF-18-55. So thinking of buying A wide-angle short lenses And want to advice with you which is the best suits me. 35? 23? ..... or any other else? If possible - offering option A and B. Thank you very much!
  3. Modern Fujinon lens have electronical parts that may fail due to water damage or other reasons. In most cases it worths pay for repair, but sometimes repair costs are too high and its cheaper to just buy another sample. This Fujinon XF 27mm F2.8 sample was electronically broken, so I've found relatively simple way to convert it into fully manual focus lens. More details in related article: Fujinon XF 27mm F2.8 lens - true manual focus mod
  4. Hello, i want to ask. Whats the best lens adaptor for canon ef to fujifilm xt-20? Thanks for your advice😊
  5. Hello everyone, I have a Fuji X-E1 and an Fuji XF 35 mm f/2 R WR lens. I am so happy with my lens especially with the portraits. But I want to buy a new lens for other needs. With this lens I want to focus more documentary and street photography. Plus, I would like to take portraits with a little bit wider angle. After a while I will buy a new body also (probably a X-T2). In the view of such information which lens would you suggest? My options: Samyang 12mm f/2 Fuji XF 18mm f/2 Fuji XF 23 mm f/2 I am open for other suggestions too. Extra: What do you think about 7artians lenses? Do you have any experience with them? Thank you all already for all your helps!
  6. Short disassembly article on – Fujinon XF 100-400mm F4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR lens [front area]
  7. I cant decide between the 10-24 and the 16 mm 1.4 fuji lens. I have the xt-1 and x-70. As well as the 35m1.4 and 18mm f2 . I would really like a zoom but I also really want the wide low light capabilities of the 16. I do a wide variety of shooting now. Landscape, Street, Portrait, but i also want to get into more night shooting of downtown los angeles and the urban architecture and life and low light shooting. So i am pretty torn on which to go for. I am fairly new to photography and some people have told me that the 10-24 is really go in low light because of ois but I have no idea. I need to decide sometime today. Thanks for your help guys.
  8. I’ve purchased 7artisans 50mm F1.8 lens three weeks ago directly from eBay 7artisans store. Here's my short review on this lens: Lens Review – 7artisans 50mm F1.8 (FX Mount)
  9. Do you know what is happening with the proposed XF 8-16mm lens? It’s still on the roadmap for about February and we’re now in May.
  10. Do you know what the widest rectilinear X-Mount prime lens currently available is and how good they are? I’ve heard great things about the Samyang 12mm, but what about the Samyang 10mm; is the quality good and the distortion low? There is the Venus Laowa 9mm apparently being launched, but I have seen scant information on this and whilst the images look good, they only come from one source. In any case, it’s not yet released, so I’d prefer not to wait. Are there any other rectilinear prime x-Mount lens choices below 12mm?
  11. Question for all the stage and theater shooters out there. I've been using my XT2 and 18-55 to shot my theater work and am thinking about getting the 16-55. Will it be worth it? Seeing that the 16-55 will not have OIS and the 18-55 does. My typical stage shots are set to 1/60s-1/120s at iso1600 or 800 if I am lucky with the lights, and the 18-55 usually wide opened. Am I going to get any sharpness advantage with the 16-55? Yes, I can get the new XH1 but the size and price of that camera do not agree with me. Also, I do not shoot video at all so even less of an incentive for me to get the camera. Any input from professional shooters out there who does stage work with Fuji is greatly appreciated. Thank you! Attached is a typical stage shot that I do.
  12. Hi fellow Fuji users. Have any of you been to Thailand? I'm going late October and trying to decide on what camera and lenses to take. I have an X-pro2 and X100T, my lens choice is 18mm f2 23mm f2 27mm pancake f2.8 35mm f2 35mm f1.4 56mm f1.2 18-55 zoom WLC for X100 I also love using old nice glass takumar 55 f1.7 Ziess 135mm f3.5 Nikkor 105mm f2.5 Having never been to Thailand before I dont know the light and a bit concerned about too much light for wide apature's. Part of me says take the X100T with a polarising filter and be done with it. Less to worry about, get stolen/lost. The wildlife looks great though so a longer reach would be good Please help. Many thanks Jim
  13. I would like to start the campaign for a new XF23mm f1.4 WR lens. The original 23mm is my most used lens, by a mile. But I seem to have managed to damage it with rain and snow, while shooting on the south coast this last week. It now has a watermark across one of the internal elements. While I understand there is the f2.0 WR version, in my opinion it is not as good as the f1.4. So Fuji, please could you update this excellent lens to include weather resistance
  14. Hi I'm going traveling this summer to Spain. I've got the Samyang 12mm, XF35F2 and Fuji XF56mm. I'm about to sell my XF35mm to get a little wider perspective, and I'm thinking about trading it for either the XF16mm or the XF23mm. I've lent the XF23mm before and just loved how it handled, rendered etc. That lens produces a fantastic set of photos. I'll mostly take photos of my family (two kids and a dog) and casual "street" photography. Since I've never have handled the XF16mm I would like some feedback to which one out of these you would recommend. Whats important to me: bokeh /subject separation, autofocus, size and photo quality. WR is nice, but its not required. I've had the XF56mm for years and I've never been in a situation where it could be broken due to not beeing WR. Thanks, Jonas
  15. Hi all, I've encountered this problem with a XF55-200 lens where one of the internal element is scratched. The scratch is only visible when you point the lens towards the light and looking through the rear element. It does not show up in the final image taken. The scratches are in a zig-zag pattern. I would like to add that the zoom ring on the lens feels a little stiff but usable. And the lens had only been used 3 times. My questions are, how did the scratches get there and could a stiff zoom ring caused the scratch? Hopefully, fellow fuji X user / fuji expert can help me discover the answer to this.
  16. I am taking pictures since almost 40 years a lot, often when raining. Although i have never owned a weather resistant lens/camera until recently i never ever had a problem. When reading in this forum and blogs some people say WR is a big plus, others say it is overrated. Thus, my question: Who ever had problems with a non-WR or a WR-lens when raining?
  17. Hey everybody, I'll be on a 2 week trip all over Italy, ( amalfi, rome, tuscany, venice, florence) and i was hoping to hear some opinions as to what lenses would be best to take there. I have the X-T2 body and 16mm f1.4 + 18-135mm f4, but since my girlfriend has the X-T1 i was hoping to get another lens to have an extra option. I've never been to Italy, so not sure what to expect as far as places, moving around with the extra weight and security issues etc. (we'll be hitting the train, bus, driving, and hiking around) I've been drooling over the 10-24mm or the 35mm f2 for a while now. but im open to any suggestions. Money is an issue, but to be honest its just a matter of time till i get both. And i think with the trip coming soon it would be a good opportunity to bite the bullet, get it and take advantage of it in Italy. One more thing, as a bonus... I didn't want to bring with me the booster grip cause its very heavy. however i thought it would make sense to bring it along instead of the battery charger, it will charge 2 batteries on a single plug. ( 2 chargers are still lighter than the grip ) Thanks so much for your opinion on the lenses and if you have any other tip about traveling to Italy or travel photography in general is greatly appreciated.

  19. Hi, I have a Fujinon 16mm f1.4 lens which had what looked like dust on the rear element. I sent it in on June 20 (received June 27) into Fuji Repair Canada in Mississauga. Pretty much after talking to support they thought it would take till July 26. Now I contact them and they are now quoting the week of August 7. Just wanted to get the community feedback on what my expectations should be. Thanks Randy
  20. I will go to Sydney and Cairns for about 10 days in the end of June. I have 18-55, 14/2.8 and 35/2 lens. I'd like to take 2 of them and I think the 14/2.8 must be taken. Any suggestion for the remaining one? zoom 18-55 or prime 35? Or any other opinions?
  21. Hello fellow X100* users. I purchased an X100T in September 2016, and while out on a walk a few weeks ago, the front ring around the lens that has the words "fujinon aspherical lens Super EBC 23mm..." disappeared. I honestly can't find it even after I retraced my steps. Well, Fuji won't cover it under warranty because I don't have the part, but that's for another rant at another time. I need to know what this part is called / part number so I can find one and order it. It's the part in this picture, and it's apparently something that can come off the lens. Also, if anybody has one of these that you're willing to sell, please let me know. It looks really ugly without it. I've got a UV filter on it to keep the dust out, but I'd really like it to look normal again.
  22. Is the Fujinon XF23mmf2 WR the same lens as the one used for the Fujifilm X100?
  23. I would love to have the option to take some macro images with my X pro cameras ( 1&2) I don't really want to buy a macro lens that I will use a couple times a year. What options are their for older lenses and adapters - even extension tubes on existing lenses. I've been doing this a long time, but never got into macro, so some suggestions would be great.
  24. Hi all, Photography is my hobby for a few years now. Before now I used the Canon eos 600D from my Grandmother, because I never had the money to buy my own camera. This semester (I'm an exchange Student from Germany) I also take a photography class in my High School. And now I really want my first own camera. After comparisons I decided to buy the Fuji X-T20. (My Hostdad bought an used X-T1, since then I’m in love with Fuji Cameras) The Prices here and in Germany are almost the same so i probably wait until I go back, but I have one big question left: I don’t know which kit I should buy. In Germany I could get the Fuji X-T20 with the 18-55mm f2.8-4.0 for 1199 €. But I could also get the 16-50mm f3.5-5.6 plus the 50-230mm f4.5-6.7 for 1199 €. Now my question: which Kit should I buy? Is the 18-55mm really so much better or should I get the Kit with two lenses? I also want to buy a prime lense, that would be a little bit later then. Maybe the 35mm or 50mm f2.0. (I would be happy about suggestions for the first lens I should buy after the Kit lens!)
  25. Hi All, Has anyone used Leica lenses on X-T1? - particularly want to know if there was a substantial difference in IQ...thanks
