  1. Hi, I've just bought the Fuji XF 100-400mm lens to go on my Fuji X-T1. Yesterday I tried it out for the first time, and straight away I have a problem, the image that I see in the EVF is great but when I take a photo and view it, the photo is very dark even though I'm shooting in daylight. I have already updated the firmware for the lens and my X-T1 has the latest firmware as well. The exposure dial is set to '0' so it's not that. Has anyone got a suggestion as to what could be causing this? I have the ISO set to 'A', shutter set to 1000. The lens is set to auto aperture, I've also tried manual aperture but got the same result. I'm fairly new to Fuji so it's probably some simple fix that I'm missing. Kind regards Mark
  2. Good news for the X-Pro2 / X-T2 ? EPSON Press Release Most likely the one that is currently used in the Leica SL. * The X-T1 currently uses a 1024 x 768 pixel display, (times 3 for RGB) equals 2.36M dots.
  3. I am having an issue with my XT1 electronic viewfinder flickering and sometimes going out completely. Has anyone else had a similar problem? I ask because I have actually already had the same problem once before: It was repaired under warranty by FujiFilm in December of last year. I was told it was simply a 'loose wire' (Flex cable?) that was not properly soldered. Now they are telling me that they will no longer repair under warranty because it is now past the initial 12-month warranty period (since July). However, It seems to me that this is obviously a defect- one that should have been repaired already once, and the same exact problem is now occurring again. Is there not some kind of a guarantee on repair work? -Jason
  4. I have an X100F which is my go-to camera. At an event this week-end I accidentally locked the camera by unknowingly pressing the Menu button. This caught me out as I was unaware of this button’s feature. I then proceeded to press every button until I finally unlocked the camera. I now have a problem with the EVF when in “Eye Sensor View Mode” in that my customized icons on the EVF screen, such as the histogram, appear for approximately 1 secs and then disappear. This does not allow time to make an adjustment to Exposure Compensation – a real nuisance. All the icons show up on the rear LCD screen OK when the eye is removed. Also, all icons show up on the OVF and stay on. I can switch on the EVF icons by pressing the AEF/AFL button, but they only stay on for a second. I’ve checked “Screen Settings – Display Custom Settings – EVF”, and they are in order. How do I reset the X100F to keep the EVF icons on continuously when the EVF is in use? Have I created a bug in my efforts to unlock the camera? Has anyone else had this problem? Any help would be appreciate.
  5. Hi everyone. Can any X-E2s user please help me find out what brightness controls on the EVF are available in the camera menus. I sold my X-E1 shortly after buying it because the EVF seemed much too dark for me when shooting in bright light outdoors. I had a similar problem with my X-T1 camera even at the maximum +2 setting but at least the problem has gone away now that I have my X-T2 which is excellent at the +4 setting. I'm thinking of buying a S/H X-E2s as a backup body but I can't find any info about the EVF brightness settings of that camera (as good as the X30 would be fine!) and I don't live anywhere near a camera shop to go and check it out. Many thanks. Mike.
  6. When reviewing images on the LCD in bright light, i have to shade the LCD with my hand. That turns the LCD off, which is silly. Ok, i get it, the eye sensor switches between EVF and LCD. But how can i review an image in bright light, shade it, and keep the stupid LCD on? i guess we need an option to turn the eye sensor off in review mode. I do still chimp, anyone does not? =) How to you think of this?
  7. Had my xt2 for 2 days and loving it. However the EVF seems very contrasty compared to the xt1. Tried manual brightness instead of auto, and tried different film modes, still seems contrasty. Anyone else finding this? Is there something else I've missed in settings?
  8. Hello, I am having some trouble with my ERF function on my XPRO 2. It really started after I implemented the 4.00 update so I'm wondering if that has caused it. Since then I have done the 4.01 update and the problem still persists. After doing a lot of google searches (and forum searches) I found that most people this happened to solved it by setting the AF to "Single Point," so I did the same and the ERF still does NOT function. Just to be clear the front switch DOES toggle between OVF and EVF with no problem, when I push the switch to the left (toward the lens) the ERF no longer does anything. I tried to reset everything via the Menu and that did no help either. Are there any other settings I should know about to get the ERF to pop up in the corner, or that would keep it from functioning? Or is there a way to factory reset (resetting firmware as well) utilizing more than the options in the menu? Hope someone else out there can help! Thanks, Jacob
  9. HI, Just recently the EVF on my xpro2 intermittently fails to replace the OVF when switching between the two (or when on "EVF + eye sensor"). What happens is that the OVF does not disappear and the EVF gets "overlaid" on top and I see two superimposed images, the optical and the electronic. Has anyone had that problem before? I've tried all sorts of settings, switching on and off, but to no avail. Many thanks for any advice / help! Hani
