  1. What real-time exposure display options are available with manual lenses? I am investigating Fuji, with an X-T1 and a manual lens (no contacts). I want to see what ISO and SS my camera has chosen, with the current lens settings. (I would also like to use program shift to change the ISO/SS combination up or down.) There may just be some setting somewhere that I didn't think applied to this? I have turned on all the display options and have tried the different displays, but no ISO or SS displayed unless I manually set them, or if I depress the shutter [but that's not real-time, as I change the aperture ring]. I have the newest firmware, and I have reset my camera's settings several times, so almost all my settings should be at the defaults. I am very used to Olympus OM-D E-M1. On my OM-D camera, as I reduce the aperture on the lens, I see my ISO 200 / SS 1/30 move, maybe to 200 & 1/15. Then if I move it further, maybe this time it changes the ISO to 400 and keeps the SS at 1/15... but I see it all change as I move the aperture. If there's no clicks then I see it make minute even fractional changes to ISO & SS. Program shift via the front dial will also change the ISO/SS up and down.

  7. hi fellas, my first post here, yet've been here on multiple occassions. Im about to embark on almost two years bike trip in australia/asia, hence looking for light and solid mirrorless system. basically i was all in for xt1, but the xt10 came and pretty much made some shifts in my mind. my budget is not that big - quite around 2000 gbp - around 3100 usd. opt 1: xt1 with 18-135 35 1.4 samyang 12 mm 2.0 opt 2: xt10 18-55 and 55 - 200 35 1.4 samyang 12 mm 2.0 yes, the weather sealing in xt1 is quite the big deal for my needs - i expect going through monsoon months in asia, than chilly winter in middle east. yet, the reports from older fuji cameras (especially xe2) talks much about how tough are this cameras, even without WR. and the better focal range, as well as aperature points to xt10. can you give me any recomendations? BTW: i posted similar question on dpreview, however the response tended to go away from my concern, as i am fully devoted to use fuji system (many bikepacking, traveling lads made my mind about fuji), so i guess it would be better to ask it here
  8. So this isn't good. Just upgraded the firmware, and I do a few focus tests. Just focusing on various objects around my desk. Then I get this. I'm not even taking a picture. Anyone getting this? (see attached).
  9. Hi I'm using Fuji X-T1 GS for a while and mostly are on landscape photographs. Normally I start with auto focus to focus the subject/distance I want on tripod and after that I just keep the focal distance by changing focus mode to M (at front pedal). The thing is if I do operate other things on my camera such as checking photo from play menu after a few photos taken or even turn off camera while focus mode still on M, after turn on camera again or get back to normal shooting mode after using other menus, focal distance seems to be changed and I need to refocus every times. My Pre-AF is off. and I think it happens in most of the lenses I have (I mostly use 10-24 f/4, 16-55 f/2.8 and 50-140 f/2.8 for landscape shooting but sometimes prime lenses as well) How do I lock this focal distance value every time till I change it by myself manually or with re-auto focus? Or any setting that I missed it.? Thank you very much
  10. Hi i am sure this has come up before but any recommendations for a screen protector for the X-T1 Just got my camera though the post today WoW
  11. I was shooting a critter in my yard yesterday using the 18-135 at 135mm. When I imported the images in LR, I noticed that the foliage/ grass rendered weird—almost watercolor like. Is this a known issue? My X-T1 has firmware v.4 and LR is the latest version (CC). Is there a way to fix this?
  12. hi anybody knows if there is new upgraded version of XT1 in 2016?
  13. I always loved the output of X-trans 2 based camera's so I picked up a minty used XT1 but I'm noticing that the camera gets this internal temperature warning and automatically shots off. This happens within 1-2 minutes and I'm not in a hot environment, neither am I taking videos or a lot of images. Just in simple idle mode or browsing the menus or taking some photos - anything I do on the camera and within 2 minutes of usage I get this warning sign. Anyone else experienced this? My XT1 is running the latest firmware update (5.52) aesthetically in mint condition. Purchased from a mid age couple who bought this as a new hobby but claims didn't use it much. When I bought it and tested the camera it didn't happen. I've tried using different memory cards (all Sandisk brands ) two different batteries etc but no luck. I also own an XE2 which never had this problem. Please advise if you know what may be the problem or how to remedy this? Thank you!
  14. Recently my XT1 stopped working, when I have a lens attached the lcd screen flashes for 20 seconds and then I get the message "Lens Control Error" on screen and am unable to take any shots. I've tried a few things already (listed at the bottom) and none of these steps have resolved the issue. I've tested it with my 16mm lens and another lens and the error seems to occur with any lens, so I'm sure it's an issue with the body and not the lens. When I remove the lens the error doesn't occur. I'm currently travelling in Colombia and according to their designated service centre here (who I'm not entirely sure I trust) I need to have the camera's main board ("tarjeta principal") replaced, for which they're quoting around $150. I just want to be sure that this really is the issue before I shell out the cash to have it fixed. Has anyone had this error fixed by Fuji and if so, do you know what element needed to be fixed? Thanks in advance. S Steps I've already tried: Turned the camera on and off; removed the battery for a few mins and replaced; updated the firmware for both the camera and lens; reset the camera to factory default settings; taken the lens on and off; cleaned the copper contact points both on the lens and the body.
