  4. Hello, My shutter has been stuck at 1/500 and I can't change it. I can move the shutter wheel, but shutter in camera doesn't do anything. I have been trying rotating wheel in front but that doesn't help. Anyone got any experience with this ? thanks.
  5. Hi guys, I've got problem with my Xt1, normally when I turn on my cam and start photo, the first few images were good and no issue. However, when a certain period of usage, I noticed very fine horizontal lines on the screen. It is not just on the screen or evf. It was visible as well in the output photos. Hope do you have any idea what's happening with my Xt1. Please see the attached sample image. Any advise for resolution. Thank you.
  6. The X-T1 camera menu has options for Continuous and Shooting image stabilization. The XF series lenses have a stabilization switch. It is always recommended that you turn off the switch when shooting on a tripod. I just got an XC lens, which has no switch. The reviews on web sites say you use the camera settings. With no option in camera for an off, any recommendation about what to do when IS is not wanted? Thanks. Tony
  7. Hi, so I shoot mostly using the LCD, from the hip, and I encountered a program today with my XT1's. Somewhat similar to an old post: https://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/1948-x-t1-lcd-fails-when-articulated/ But my situation is a little different. When my LCD is completely flush, in the normal position against the body, it will be totally blacked out/looking like it's off. I've cycled the 'viewmode' and nothing has helped. I did a factory reset and updated the firmware. But I believe I have a body-to-LCD ribbon short. If I pull the LCD away it will work, but only in a limited range. From angled slightly upwards to completely flat facing upwards to the sky. If it's totally parallel with the body to facing downs toward the ground, the LCD will black out/turn off. I can still take photos when it's like this though. I'm pretty sure it's a short in the ribbon — if I push the ribbon around very gently, the screen will go on and off. But anyway, I would like to put this problem out there and see if anyone has encountered it before. The camera has seen a lot of use in the last 3 years, but no drops/damage. Luckily the EVF works normally and used XT1s are pretty cheap now. Let me know if you have any suggestions, thanks!
  8. Recently my XT1 stopped working, when I have a lens attached the lcd screen flashes for 20 seconds and then I get the message "Lens Control Error" on screen and am unable to take any shots. I've tried a few things already (listed at the bottom) and none of these steps have resolved the issue. I've tested it with my 16mm lens and another lens and the error seems to occur with any lens, so I'm sure it's an issue with the body and not the lens. When I remove the lens the error doesn't occur. I'm currently travelling in Colombia and according to their designated service centre here (who I'm not entirely sure I trust) I need to have the camera's main board ("tarjeta principal") replaced, for which they're quoting around $150. I just want to be sure that this really is the issue before I shell out the cash to have it fixed. Has anyone had this error fixed by Fuji and if so, do you know what element needed to be fixed? Thanks in advance. S Steps I've already tried: Turned the camera on and off; removed the battery for a few mins and replaced; updated the firmware for both the camera and lens; reset the camera to factory default settings; taken the lens on and off; cleaned the copper contact points both on the lens and the body.

  10. I recently upgraded to the X-T1 from a X-A2. On the X-A2 it had a feature where in manual focus the lcd would auto zoom in on the subject when the focus ring was turned. I can't remember if this feature was on the X-T1 when I first started using it but I have started using a Samyang lens and cannot seem to get it to work. I have S/C/M dial set to M then menu>set up 1>screen setup>focus check (on) but when I turn the focus ring the lcd does not auto magnify. I have tried it on the Samyang 12mm as well as my Fujifilm 10-24mm and it doesn't work on either. The Focus Assist button works fine just not the Focus Check option when moving the focus ring. The camera is also on the latest firmware v5.10 Can anyone shed any light....I have seen this option work on the X-T1 on youtube but cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. Thanks
  11. Hello, Do you know is it possible to somehow recalibrate exposure compensation indicator /dial in XT-1? When I'm in aperture or shutter priority mode the values on the dial do not reflect the ones on the screen. Let's say I put the dial in +1 position and the indicator on the screen shows 0, when I put it to +2, the indicator shows + 1 ⅓ etc. What is more - sometimes the onscreen indicator will react only after some clicks - when I put -1 ⅓ on the dial and move it towards 0 it reacts only after 6 clicks (6 moves) and shows - ⅓ (the dial is in + ⅔ position). When I shoot in manual mode the meter seems to work fine but when aperture / shutter / ISO is in the "A" position and the meter changes into the indicator I cannot set it right. Do you think that is a hardware problem with a dial? Or maybe it can be calibrated through software? Thank you in advance for any info/help. Krzysztof PS I am not 100% sure but I think that these problems started to appear after servicing th camera in FujiFilm service (due to "rubber skin" issues).

  14. Hi guys, I'm new in the forum. Have had an x100s for almost 4 years and I always loved it. It has always been my travel camera. But I always found a limitation to it and I thought bigger and more professional Fuji cameras wouldn't have it. For my professional work (fashion/advertising/food photography) I was using a nikon D800e (always been a nikon photographer, until my x100s made me think about it). Recently, I traded my nikon gear (body and three lenses) for a Fuji xt1 gear with a friend (two bodies, three lenses). NOW, I find something majorly dissapointing: I need the shutter button to hold a focus lock when kept half pressed after the first shot. further explanation? I focus on a subject with a half press of the shutter (most cameras in the world will give you a beep sound to check that focus was acquired, something else I'm missing in the Fuji) and then I either recompose or just stay with the same framing, but I continue pressing the shutter many times to get many shots, always lifting my finger enough for the new shot, but not so far to unpress completely. So I keep the Half-press and the focus stays locked in the first setting (the first time I pressed)... Xt1 fails to do this and the only solution I've found so far is to use the Back Button AF-L. This could work, but why use two buttons when it could be just one (and it could have a beep for focus acquisition). Does this bother anyone else? Also, lastly, anyone knows if the xt2 or the xpro2 behave the same way? According to this video xpro2 has a system like I want, but can someone confirm this? Cause if its like this, I'm switching one xt1 to the xpro2. Xt2 maybe too? Thanks guys, and I really hope this could appear in the future in firmware updates. All the best to all Sergio Miranda www.sermiranda.com
  15. dear X-friends .. To be honest I believe xt2 is made for coverting sport photography as well as videography. Although 24 mp sensor is better that 16 but not much different on result if you know how to set your camera, high quality double A2 size or even lorger print is possible with xt1. On the other hand since fuji on xt1 presenting features of photography and videography together with some new ones like touchscreen after x70 of course, seems xt1 after years corrections and developed system, personally i cannot trust xt2 atleast for 6 to 12 months, to upgrade all possible bugs and confusions. what do you think?
  16. There have been times when I use the built in intervalometer, and I am able to do more than 999 shots, it actually does 1998 shots. Twice as many. I have no idea how to make it work all the time, or if its some kind of software error that makes it work. Any ideas?
  17. Hi there, i would like some opinions about fuji reliability/durability and real user experience. I'm a brazilian portrait/fashion/editorial photographer and i'm thinking about mirrorless because the weight and portability. I don't need the WR of the XT1. The options are: • Used Fuji XT1 (the seller is the 2nd owner and don't know how much clicks [professional use with weddings] ) + grip + 3 batteries (1124 US) • New Fuji XT10 with 1 year warranty (1124 US) • Used Xpro1 7k clicks (725 US) The Fuji Jpgs are beautiful and the lenses are somewhat affordable and have high quality. The cameras are beautiful too (the xpro is gorgeous). My questions are: • It's dangerous buy used fuji cameras? What about the shutter and price of hardware repair? • Better a xt10 new or a xt1 used? The body quality of the xt1 are really more sturdier?Or it's better the used xpro1 and buy more lenses? • The 16mp APSC would work fine in the fashion industry and with large prints? (I did a lot of research about pro photographers using fuji, but most of them are endorsed) Thank you very much!
  18. Hi, I recently traveled to Berlin. Together with my Fuji XT-1 of course! Some minimalistic architectural photo's from the immense Tempelhof airport. Such a weird, but also big, impressive, piece of architecture with a lot of historical background, but in modern times it is a great escape from the city to many people. Just wanted to share three of my photo's, so here goes. more photo's @ www.robertdoeleman.com

  20. hi fellas, my first post here, yet've been here on multiple occassions. Im about to embark on almost two years bike trip in australia/asia, hence looking for light and solid mirrorless system. basically i was all in for xt1, but the xt10 came and pretty much made some shifts in my mind. my budget is not that big - quite around 2000 gbp - around 3100 usd. opt 1: xt1 with 18-135 35 1.4 samyang 12 mm 2.0 opt 2: xt10 18-55 and 55 - 200 35 1.4 samyang 12 mm 2.0 yes, the weather sealing in xt1 is quite the big deal for my needs - i expect going through monsoon months in asia, than chilly winter in middle east. yet, the reports from older fuji cameras (especially xe2) talks much about how tough are this cameras, even without WR. and the better focal range, as well as aperature points to xt10. can you give me any recomendations? BTW: i posted similar question on dpreview, however the response tended to go away from my concern, as i am fully devoted to use fuji system (many bikepacking, traveling lads made my mind about fuji), so i guess it would be better to ask it here

  22. So this isn't good. Just upgraded the firmware, and I do a few focus tests. Just focusing on various objects around my desk. Then I get this. I'm not even taking a picture. Anyone getting this? (see attached).
