  1. I always loved the output of X-trans 2 based camera's so I picked up a minty used XT1 but I'm noticing that the camera gets this internal temperature warning and automatically shots off. This happens within 1-2 minutes and I'm not in a hot environment, neither am I taking videos or a lot of images. Just in simple idle mode or browsing the menus or taking some photos - anything I do on the camera and within 2 minutes of usage I get this warning sign. Anyone else experienced this? My XT1 is running the latest firmware update (5.52) aesthetically in mint condition. Purchased from a mid age couple who bought this as a new hobby but claims didn't use it much. When I bought it and tested the camera it didn't happen. I've tried using different memory cards (all Sandisk brands ) two different batteries etc but no luck. I also own an XE2 which never had this problem. Please advise if you know what may be the problem or how to remedy this? Thank you!
  2. Shot with the X-T1, XF23 f1.4, Godox 685 and Godox X1T trigger. Hand held and dragging the shutter. Exposures between 1/4 to 1/15
  3. What real-time exposure display options are available with manual lenses? I am investigating Fuji, with an X-T1 and a manual lens (no contacts). I want to see what ISO and SS my camera has chosen, with the current lens settings. (I would also like to use program shift to change the ISO/SS combination up or down.) There may just be some setting somewhere that I didn't think applied to this? I have turned on all the display options and have tried the different displays, but no ISO or SS displayed unless I manually set them, or if I depress the shutter [but that's not real-time, as I change the aperture ring]. I have the newest firmware, and I have reset my camera's settings several times, so almost all my settings should be at the defaults. I am very used to Olympus OM-D E-M1. On my OM-D camera, as I reduce the aperture on the lens, I see my ISO 200 / SS 1/30 move, maybe to 200 & 1/15. Then if I move it further, maybe this time it changes the ISO to 400 and keeps the SS at 1/15... but I see it all change as I move the aperture. If there's no clicks then I see it make minute even fractional changes to ISO & SS. Program shift via the front dial will also change the ISO/SS up and down.
  4. hi guy, I'm using X-h1, X-t1 with few lenses. I wonder should I buy an X100T or an extra 23mm f/2.0 lens. I'm gonna do street photography and sometime travel? Thank you guys.
  5. I have an XT1 and absolutely love it. I'm thinking of trading it in for an XT3 - but am wondering if it is worth it. I'm not really interested in movies, and most of the extra you get with the XT3 seems to be in the video area. Also, is the XT3 heavier than the XT1? I really like the light weight of the XT1.
  6. Recently my XT1 stopped working, when I have a lens attached the lcd screen flashes for 20 seconds and then I get the message "Lens Control Error" on screen and am unable to take any shots. I've tried a few things already (listed at the bottom) and none of these steps have resolved the issue. I've tested it with my 16mm lens and another lens and the error seems to occur with any lens, so I'm sure it's an issue with the body and not the lens. When I remove the lens the error doesn't occur. I'm currently travelling in Colombia and according to their designated service centre here (who I'm not entirely sure I trust) I need to have the camera's main board ("tarjeta principal") replaced, for which they're quoting around $150. I just want to be sure that this really is the issue before I shell out the cash to have it fixed. Has anyone had this error fixed by Fuji and if so, do you know what element needed to be fixed? Thanks in advance. S Steps I've already tried: Turned the camera on and off; removed the battery for a few mins and replaced; updated the firmware for both the camera and lens; reset the camera to factory default settings; taken the lens on and off; cleaned the copper contact points both on the lens and the body.
  7. Hi, so I shoot mostly using the LCD, from the hip, and I encountered a program today with my XT1's. Somewhat similar to an old post: https://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/1948-x-t1-lcd-fails-when-articulated/ But my situation is a little different. When my LCD is completely flush, in the normal position against the body, it will be totally blacked out/looking like it's off. I've cycled the 'viewmode' and nothing has helped. I did a factory reset and updated the firmware. But I believe I have a body-to-LCD ribbon short. If I pull the LCD away it will work, but only in a limited range. From angled slightly upwards to completely flat facing upwards to the sky. If it's totally parallel with the body to facing downs toward the ground, the LCD will black out/turn off. I can still take photos when it's like this though. I'm pretty sure it's a short in the ribbon — if I push the ribbon around very gently, the screen will go on and off. But anyway, I would like to put this problem out there and see if anyone has encountered it before. The camera has seen a lot of use in the last 3 years, but no drops/damage. Luckily the EVF works normally and used XT1s are pretty cheap now. Let me know if you have any suggestions, thanks!
  8. Hello, My shutter has been stuck at 1/500 and I can't change it. I can move the shutter wheel, but shutter in camera doesn't do anything. I have been trying rotating wheel in front but that doesn't help. Anyone got any experience with this ? thanks.
  9. Hi guys, I've got problem with my Xt1, normally when I turn on my cam and start photo, the first few images were good and no issue. However, when a certain period of usage, I noticed very fine horizontal lines on the screen. It is not just on the screen or evf. It was visible as well in the output photos. Hope do you have any idea what's happening with my Xt1. Please see the attached sample image. Any advise for resolution. Thank you.
