  1. Please have a look at my video (better to watch in HD or even 4K) - the boat on the right edge. It "jumps" or "jiggle" back and forth every fiew seconds. Same with left edge. It looks like that some lens correction or something might be applied spontaneously. Any idea what might that be and how to avoid it?
  2. How do I prevent the camera to change the shutterspeed from what I set with the dial? For example, if I set it to 250 for flash photography, why will it internally change it to 320? What am I doing wrong? Why is it overwriting my settings, if I have everything else set manually? I'm baffled.
  3. I used to have the Fuji quick release plate (or, as they called it "Small Handgrip" for the X-T1) because I did not require an additional grip. In my opinion, it wasn't needed and it looked goofy. However, to my dismay, I found out that Fuji discontinued this plate and is now only producing the hand grip plate for the X-T2. So I began researching my options from other manufacturers. I ordered a thirty dollar one from Ebay, but it was clunky and heavy. It also didn't really fit properly. But then I found the perfect one for my needs, also on Ebay. It's the PEIPRO L-bracket. I took off the small side bracket and just use the bottom. The plate is super-light and although it's so light has a smooth, closed bottom (only one opening for the battery compartment). I really don't know how they were able to make it so light. So just in case you want a good looking, light arca-swiss compatible quick release plate that can stay permanently installed on your X-T2, you can't go wrong with this one. I highly recommend it.
  4. Hello, I just wanted to share some shots (not many), of my last trip in the Lofoten Islands, sadly it was a very short week, with not a lot of good photo opportunity, I hope you will enjoy it 1) the classic view of hamnoy (this shot was featured on the national geographic your shot (https://www.instagram.com/p/BRaAR4HjwUx/?taken-by=natgeoyourshot) 2) Beach of VIK Shot with the X-T2, and mostly the 16 1.4 WR and the 10-24.
  5. One of the few but remarkable disappointments of my X-T1 was the ability to bracket only one stop +/-. Now the X-T2 offers 2 EV bracketing but only on AE Bracketing but not ISO bracketing. ISO bracketing is still limited to +/- 1 EV. One of the great freedoms of digital over film is the ability to bracket without adjusting shutter or F-stop. I don't understand this limitation. Thanks Stan
  6. Hey There. Was wondering if anybody has any tips or tricks to save battery life. When i go out to shoot i usually have to take a spare battery with me. ( Which isn't too bad ). But got me thinking about what can i do to squeeze a few more photos out of a battery. For example, i usually have the camera on EVF with the sensor, so its off unless i want to look thru it. The problem i noticed is that when the camera is hanging from my neck my body also triggers the sensor and turns on the screen... I can't find a 'screens off' view mode, so the only way to have all the screens of would be turning off the camera. ( also, it would be awesome to have that view mode button configurable, so i can put it somewhere else... its very uncomfortable to use where it currently is ) Is it ok to be turning on/off the camera every few minutes to take a picture and have it off most of the time?. Any issues with the hardware? The biggest downside would be the startup time, I guess. Or is there any other pitfall? Does anybody has a good battery saving tip or thing to do?
  7. Hey everyone. I'm currently shooting an Olympus OM-D E-M1 and I have a spectrum of lenses from the 7-14mm PRO up to the 40-150mm PRO. So in essence, I cover 14mm to 300mm in full-frame focal length. I have been shooting quite a bit of sports in the last year and have grown tired of the E-M1's tracking. Its horrendous. So I really started paying attention to the Nikon D500. I figured I would switch to that and either the 70-200mm f/2.8 and 300mm f/4 for my sports kit. I didn't really want to use the D500 for my everyday needs since I'm a fan of mirrorless. I figured I would get a Sony A7 II or III at some point. Then I saw some videos for the X-T2. It has piqued my interest a lot. Not only is it as fast as the D500, it seems like it could replace my Olympus as my everyday kit although I don't think I'll get rid of this kit for a long time. The Olympus lenses are fantastic. I still love to shoot landscapes so I would like to know what wide-angle lens is available for this system? Anyone know the roadmap for Fuji lenses? Are they working on anything with an equivalent 400mm or bigger? I'll be renting the X-T2, booster grip and 50-140mm f/2.8 to test soon. I'm definitely interested in seeing how well it performs at something like a high school football game at night. If it works well there, I'm sold.

This is the scene on Memorial Day 2020. Masks, quiet, birds singing.... Few people on what is ordinarily a day mobbed with tourists and locals taking to our great park. With music, vendors, artists, bikers, joggers, horses & buggies, and a pond filled with rowboats. Now: this. This image with X-T2, 18-55mm Fuji Lens, Acros-R film emulation.

  13. Hello there! I am new to this forum and a proud owner of an X-T2. Last night I wished to try interval timer shooting to stack some star tracks, so I programmed my gear for 545 1-second exposures each separated by 10 seconds, at ISO 1000. OIS was off, AF was set to manual with focus set at infinity and aperture also set to manual, at the widest setting for the lens. The body firmware version is 4.30 and the battery was fully charged. When the shooting was over, I was disappointed to see that only 292 exposures had been taken instead of the 545 I had keyed in. Anybody have an idea why this happened?
  14. I've just traded-in my X-T2 for an X-H1 since I like it ergonomics and IBIS. Normally I use CaptureOne for raw processing and occasionally ON1 Photo Raw. Their 2020 edition is a big improvement for Fuji shooters. However, I wanted to revisit a raw file from my X-T2 and run it again through the in-camera raw converter using X Raw Studio. Much to my surprise, the software didn't accept my X-H1 nor my X-Pro2 to process the X-T2 raw file. It needs to connect to an X-T2 (which I don't own anymore)!! In the user manual Fujifilm states: "Please note, the RAW conversion is only compatible with a RAW file taken by the same camera model as the camera connected to the computer. For example, if the connected camera is a FUJIFILM X-T2, the RAW file must be taken by a FUJIFILM X-T2." I was stunned... Is this me doing something wrong or just incredibly bad design by Fujifilm? I fully understand that an older camera can't process newer X-Trans CMOS4/X-Processor4 files. But all of my current camera's are X-Trans CMOS3 and X-Processor Pro just like the X-T2 with which I made the photos. I would expect compatibility to be depending on the sensor/processor combination (and pref some backwards compatibility as well for my X-Pro1 files), but not on the actual precise camera type?! This makes X Raw Studio useless when you update your camera. Clearly not a great business model...
  15. I did some shooting in a different time zone and forgot to set the camera to the proper local time. So of course the pictures are all recorded with an incorrect time of day. Is there any way to fix this in-camera, or do I have to find an exif editor and make the changes elsewhere? Thanks!
  16. Hey guys, I had luck and got a 16-80mm just right before my holiday in Iceland. 17. I am starting to use my X-T2 for video production and I have a SmallHD 701 Lite that I used with my Canon's. I cannot get this external monitor to work with the X-T2 anyone here have experience using external monitors?
  18. Question from a newbie with a used X-T2 and aging eyesight. The YouTube gurus seem inconsistent with regard to whether or not the 3,690,000 dot EVF on the X-T3 is a noticable improvement over the 2,360,000 dot one in the X-T2. It's not the only reason to upgrade of course, but I'm looking for any justification I can find! Does anyone with experience of both care to opine on the relative merits of the two EVFs?
  19. Hello, I have been shooting various sport events since 2003 until 2014 on Canon. Then quit action photography and switched to Fuji for more calm photography. Switching was one of the best decisions I've made! That quality of color and sharpness - it still surprises and makes me happy every day! I've been asked to shoot some motorcycle races this season, so googling daily what are the best techniques for Fuji X-T2 because they dramatically differ from Canon. I would like to get some suggestions from You. So here are a couple of questions: 1. Motorcycle straight on at high speed - which AF Mode - Single point, Zone or Wide/Tracking is more reliable? What size of Single point or Zone? Best custom setting for it? 2. Panning - same or different AF Mode is best? Best custom setting? If it's important what gear I plan to use - it is X-T2 + Battery Grip, 55-200mm, 90mm f/2, 35mm f/2, Samyang 12mm f/2 and 8mm Fisheye. Thank You all in advance! Audrius
  20. I have a Godox XProF transmitter but no Godox lights yet. When I connect my XProF to my X-T2 (both on latest software releases) the X-T2 recognises a "flashgun" has been connected but the flash menu refuses to switch into Manual. I can select M using the rear dial but it immediately switches itself back into TTL. Is this correct? Will it only work in TTL mode as I would like to have full manual control of my lights? Do you think I am doing something wrong? BTW this happens when there is no receiver active and also when I have a Godox X1RC receiver switched on, which disappointingly will only change the zoom function on my Pixel 800C (Canon compatible) flashgun, not the power levels or mode. Also the Pixel is not actually working in TTL despite the camera saying so, I have to set the power levels manually in the Pixel. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thank you .
  21. questions for video folks.... any clues? 1. I'm looking for a very compact stabilization rig for X-T2 to make quick videos (specially while walking) that can fit in my travel bag. I do not need pro grade rigs, just want to avoid getting a headache every time I watch the videos.... 2. would the AF noise of the 23 1.4 or 56 be picked by camera mic?? should I use an external mic instead? thanks!
  22. Hello everyone, I had the opportunity to spend a week in the Dolomites area to catch the autumn colors ! my trusty x-pro2 and x-t2 were from the trip. We start with a classic of the Dolomites, the church of San-Giovanni in Ranui near Santa Magdalena. The sky mixed with some remainings of fog, made really the mountain glow and burn in a special way. 1) X-pro2 - 16-55 @ f10, some exposures mixed to achieve this image as the contrast between the different plans was enormous. Have a nice day and see you soon for more.

  24. It has been just few days since I left Rio and I had a day to recharge my batteries (my own one and also all of my Fuji ones) and now I'm shooting Summer Biathlon World Championships in southern Estonia. Fujifilm Estonia is again helping me and gave me one X-T2 with battery booster for the event (first camera here in Estonia) and let me keep X-Pro2 also which I had with me at the Olympics. So now I can compare them side-by-side and show you pictures from both cameras. When I have time, I will post my first remarks. After first day at least I can say that X-T2 suits my style much better. Bigger EVF, battery booster (which really boosts the camera) and faster AF are the first things to mark down, where X-T2 is kicking X-Pro2s butt Official Training @IBU Summer Biathlon WCH Otepää 2016 by Hendrik Osula, on Flickr X-T2 + 50-140/2,8 Official Training @IBU Summer Biathlon WCH Otepää 2016 by Hendrik Osula, on Flickr X-Pro2 + 14/2,8 Mixed Relay Juniors @IBU Summer Biathlon WCH Otepää 2016 by Hendrik Osula, on Flickr X-T2 + 14/2,8 Mixed Relay @IBU Summer Biathlon WCH Otepää 2016 by Hendrik Osula, on Flickr X-Pro2 + 18-55/2,8-4 Mixed Relay @IBU Summer Biathlon WCH Otepää 2016 by Hendrik Osula, on Flickr X-Pro2 + 18-55/2,8-4 Mixed Relay @IBU Summer Biathlon WCH Otepää 2016 by Hendrik Osula, on Flickr X-T2 + 50-140/2,8 All comments and questions are welcome!
