  1. Hi guys, new Fuji-freak here! I bought yesterday X-T3 with the 18-55 lens and XF 50-140mm f2.8, both used. At first I was really impressed with both of them but soon I figured out that there's something strange with the 50-140 and autofocus. The problem occurs at the maximum 140mm focal lenght. The autofocus can't focus near. It will only work for longer distances (over 4-5 meters) even though the minimum focus distance should be 1 meter. Even a slight zoom out e.g. 138mm will make the autofocus work normally. All the settings are in "auto", I'm shooting in single shot mode and autofocus on single point. The problem occurs in every possible setup. Here's a video about the problem (I didn't find my stand so I had to use chair) [ignore the cat meowing] https://youtu.be/g8snv-60DBM Has anyone else had the same problem or should I return the lens?
  2. My camera (X-S20) keeps making a clicking constant noise from the focusing (the focus goes in and out consistently) - when the camera is turned OFF. I've tried several lenses (35mm f/1.4, 23mm f/2, 18mm f/2, 18-55mm zoom) and they all seem to have the constant focus noise issue/movement when the camera is OFF (just with varying degrees of loudness) which makes me think there's an issue with the camera body or connection. The camera and lens' firmware are all up-to-date (camera body firmware updated via Fuji app a month or so ago), removing the battery seems to make the issue stop (although this isn't the solution), and the constant clicking noise only happens when the camera is OFF (when the camera is ON there's no issue). Has anyone run into this issue? Anyone know which this happens? Ideas for a potential fix?
  3. Hello! On November 3, 2021, I bought the Fujifilm X-S10. On Sunday, October 29th, I had a problem. The camera opens but no indicators appear on the screen. No button works and I can't turn it off. I have to remove the battery for it to turn it off. I bought the camera in Greece, where I live, from a store that supplied it from the official Fujifilm dealership in Greece. I emailed the official Fujifilm representative in Greece and they told me that the warranty lasts only one year from the date of purchase(in the Greek State). In other words, the warranty expired on November 3, 2022, while I still haven't completed two years. I mailed with courier the camera on Monday to the store where I bought it and they received it today. They will send the camera to the service of the official representative office in Greece. They will definitely ask me for money to repair it. It is possible that they will send it somewhere in Europe, for repair. In European countries how long is the fujifilm warranty? I was informed that it is two years. Do you have personal experience to inform me? Thank you for your interest.
  4. Hi, I'm using Angelbird AV PRO CFexpress SE 512GB in X-H2s, everything set up correctly (Media rec/Proxy "ON"), recording in ProRes422, there is even small indicator "PXY" on main screen when recording, but I can't find proxy files anywhere on the card. Am I doing something wrong?
  5. I've owned my X-Pro2 for a couple of weeks with no obvious problems, until a few days when I did a shoot in a room with high windows lit by the evening sun. I shot on this occasion entirely in jpeg, with a 56mm f1.2 R lens fitted. Most of the shots were fine, but a number showed broad, diffuse yellowish bands in them. At first I thought these were shadows or reflections in the room, but on closer examination I am convinced they are in-camera artefacts. In landscape-format shots the bands are horizontal, in portrait-format they are vertical, which confirms my suspicion. Has anyone else experienced this, or have any ideas what might cause it? Thanks Alan
  6. Hi, so I shoot mostly using the LCD, from the hip, and I encountered a program today with my XT1's. Somewhat similar to an old post: https://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/1948-x-t1-lcd-fails-when-articulated/ But my situation is a little different. When my LCD is completely flush, in the normal position against the body, it will be totally blacked out/looking like it's off. I've cycled the 'viewmode' and nothing has helped. I did a factory reset and updated the firmware. But I believe I have a body-to-LCD ribbon short. If I pull the LCD away it will work, but only in a limited range. From angled slightly upwards to completely flat facing upwards to the sky. If it's totally parallel with the body to facing downs toward the ground, the LCD will black out/turn off. I can still take photos when it's like this though. I'm pretty sure it's a short in the ribbon — if I push the ribbon around very gently, the screen will go on and off. But anyway, I would like to put this problem out there and see if anyone has encountered it before. The camera has seen a lot of use in the last 3 years, but no drops/damage. Luckily the EVF works normally and used XT1s are pretty cheap now. Let me know if you have any suggestions, thanks!
  7. Hello everybody. I am new here. I switched to Fuji from Panasonic and Blackmagic. Quite happy, but I have a big issue with the XF 10-24. Please see the attached video, the issue starts at 3". Any idea?
  8. Hi everyone, Quite often, under artificial lights, the screen of both the LCD and the EVF of my Fuji XT20 is flickering/flashing quickly, making shooting unpleasant. This video shows the issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWk6i_udD34 When I turn the camera OFF, then ON again, there is an intense flickering at the beginning, but all flickering disappears after 1 second (but the issue might occur again a few minutes later). The issue is present in both normal and high performance mode. 1) Does this happens to anyone else? I would also be interested to know if you don't experience this issue. 2) If it is caused by the reaction of the LCD/EVF to the fluorescent/LED lighting operating at a certain frequency, why is the issue temporary resolved by turning the camera OFF, then ON again? Thank you!
  9. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it? For some reason, some of my images are turning purple and it's not fixable just by clicking on reset in lightroom develop or in camera raw photoshop. The preview of the images on my camera are normal but when I import them to lightroom or camera raw they do this. I tried resetting the images, applying all the setting to 0 or balanced, copy and pasting presets applied to other images that were not purple and all that did was apply the presets over the purple tinted image. I also sent the raw file to a friend thinking that maybe it was my adobe but he got the same problem. I'm using lightroom cc 2015.9 and camera raw 9.9 I've posted a link to a raw file if you guys would like to open the image and give it a try https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-M3KcTQibo7Zjc2MllxMWJPTFU/view?usp=sharing Thanks
  10. I did a long exposure last weekend for star trails and while it looks nice I cannot use it because it is full of these colorful artifacts. On different long exposures they appear in similar areas. They also appear on my X-T1 sometimes. I have had the sensor cleaned for dust at a camera shop on both cameras.
  11. Hi folks, This is my very first Fuji lens - I've had it for 4 days now. It's huge, it's lovely and the images I get from it are nothing short of stunning. However, I've come to notice these strange blemishes inside the lens. They are behind the front element (pink and orange) and on/behind one of the inner elements (green). The orange line refers to the ring just below where there's what appears to be machining marks: I should note that none of these blemishes appear to make any difference to the images, but I find it very strange that they are even there on what I would call a premium lens. I own Canon and Leica lenses and I am not accustomed to this kind of thing. Is this unusual for Fuji and should I be worried? I think the biggest issue is if the pink-marked fleck of metal or coating were to break off in the future. Thanks in advance
  12. Dear fellow X shooters, I'm a seasoned semi-pro photographer coming from Canon, I'm just starting in the Fuji X series with a brand new X-T30 and I'm loving it! For my first lens I bought a used (in apparent good condition) XF 10-24 f/4 OIS, since I also loved that focal range on my former APS-C canon system. At first glance everything was working great at close up shots with that lens, unfortunately after close inspection I started noticing some strange asymmetrical right side, defocused shots when shooting landscapes at focal lengths greater than 10mm. I tested for decentering with a lot of focal length and aperture combinations with the natestech test chart, with both handheld with OIS and on a tripod without OIS and can't in all honesty see decentering effects. A physical inspection of the lens also shows no signs of significant dust, no fungus at all, no rattling, no bent bayonet, no scratched elements, noting. I do get slight less bluring when manual focusing (with peaking aid) the same scene, versus autofocusing (single point, non-continuous AF). I'm at lost here. What can it be? Should I return the lens? Could the camera somehow be the culprit here? Should I lent a lens to test that hypothesis? XF10-24_AF_18mm XF10-24_MF_18mm Best regards, DC
  13. I just started using the Fuji XT3 and I'm having an issue with the colours of my final images. I custom set the white balance and in the LCD and EVF preview the photos are perfectly white balanced and exposed, however when I opened them on my laptop, the white background appeared more grey, and the overall image is more subdued. Is this normal or is there a setting I need to change?
  14. Hey guys, I recently purchased a used fujifilm x pro 2 which looks really in great condition. There are only 1-2 really small and not really noticeable scratches. So the problem I have is actually that the camera sometimes doesn't turn on. I switch it off between taking pictures while walking and sometimes when I try to turn it back on it doesn't light up. I've read here and there that a few other people also encountered this issue but didn't really update us on it. So my question is if someone has dealt with this and what could be a solution to it. If there's no solution I actually really like my fuji x pro 2 and would be interested if the issue becomes worse with time or it stays quite the same. Thanks in advance guys!
  15. I’ve had a weird issue with a photo today. See attached. (No idea why it attaches upside down, and ignore the stripes on the image, it’s a photo of my computer screen. The issue is the dark edge on the right of the hand). This is a crop of an unedited picture, with no in-camera effects. Xpro-3 with 23mm f/1.4, shot wide open. Looks almost like grey CA? Or like someone has badly cut out the hand or something? Ive not seen anything like this before - anyone know if I should be worried about the sensor? Or is this just a weird blip from shooting wide open?
  16. Good morning, I have a problem with my x-t30 I'm not able to record any video because after a few second the video is automatically stopped and I can't understand why. I can't record more than 8/15 seconds. Does anyone know which is the problem? Many thanks have a nice day Nico
  17. PLEASE DISREGARD. FIXED WITH A REBOOT. Sorry I can't see how to cancel this post. I have to use Lightroom Classic for a course. I am importing RAF files into LR from my XT3. The problem is a current assignment requires me to adjust the WB in LR using the various settings. But the only options I can see are As shot, Auto, and Custom. The other 6 or so options like Cloudy are not displayed as an option. I read that if you are processing jpgs or TIFFS then only As shot, Auto, and Custom are available in LR. I am wondering if the Fuji RAF file format is seen by LR in a similar manner to a TIFF or jpeg (even though it is a raw file). I am wondering if any other Fuji users have experienced this problem with LR classic (current release).
  18. This is a bit of a weird issue but in certain lighting situations, especially with grass or brush in the frame, there is a distinct pink/blue discoloration wherever I am focusing my image. When I am focusing my camera whether it is in the viewfinder or the LCD screen, you can see the discoloration while focusing and on the final image. Happens in AF-s or AF-Cmode. I have sent the camera to Fuji twice now and the first time they did nothing because they couldn't replicate the issue. I sent it back again and they replaced the sensor and I am still having issues with both of my lenses (23mm 1.2 and 56mm 1.2 - the discoloration is more obvious with the 56mm 1.2). I even rented an XT-3 body as a backup for a shoot and it did the exact same thing with that body. I shoot fully manual and white balance is typically set to a custom temperature, usually 6300K. Attached are photos showing what is happening. Curious if this has happened to anyone else or if anyone might know what the issue is if it's not the sensor. It's incredibly frustrating and proving unreliable.
  19. Hi to everybody. A month ago I ordered from Aliexpress new lens called Kamlan f1.1. 50mm. It has come today, I was happy, it feet perfect. But unfortunately the shutter is not working with this lens. Is anybody advice me how to fix problem. Please, guys, help me. Thank you all in advance.
  20. Hi, Does anyone know how to fix this? My camera works fine, except for the metering switch/collar. My camera stays in average metering mode, whichever way I turn the switch. In face detection mode I see the face icon in the EVF, but turning off face detection, it keeps showing [ ], no matter what I turn. Is there a menu setting I'm unaware of, or is this a mechanical/electronical problem? In the latter case, should I try to fix it myself? Or can I be flying by my histogram, even if I would need spot metering now and then? Thanks for any suggestions.
  21. Fujifilm X Acquire app doesn't detect my X-T30 camera. I activated Auto USB but it doesn't work. I tried restarting.
