  1. My xt-30 started freezing up, became completely unresponsive and couldn't even turn on. Looked online and a lot of users had pointed out issues. As soon as I could turn it on I followed all the identified troubleshooting steps - Update using a formatted SD Card instead of the app (Camera worked for a day after this and started freezing up again) - Disconnected from app - Turned off Bluetooth - Replaced SD Card As of now it turns on, but only up to the date change setting and just lights up a black screen. The black screen stays even after turning it off. Currently on the 2.1 update. Any insights on this? Very frustrated.
  2. Date: 2021 June 30 — I have two X-T4s — one about 14 months old, the second about 5 months old (with 70-300 — fantastic lens). Yesterday I updated the firmware to 1.21. Last evening, I took one of my X-T4s to a baseball game and for the VERY FIRST TIME EVER I experienced frequent lockdowns or freezes. After taking a photo, the LCD would go black, the orange data transfer light would come on and stay on. Switching the camera on and off made no difference. The only solution was to remove and reinstall the battery. The camera would then work properly for a few more frames and then repeat the lockdown process again. That probably happened 6 or 8 times last night in an hour. This morning I repeated that scenario about 5 times. It has been suggested that the problem is related to SD cards; I had the same problem with different Lexar cards that have never failed. So it doesn't seem to be related to SD cards. Unfortunately, the defect appears intermittent; i.e., I cannot recreate the failure upon command. I have noted on Fuji-Form that a lot of people have reported similar behavior for X-T4s, but not X-T3s. Have you seen this problem in your X-T4? Do you know if the problem is unique to specific cameras or to specific versions of firmware? Do you know if Fuji is aware of the issue? Do you know if they are working on the problem? In a word, this is now a major pain in the butt. Tom Carroll Davidson, North Carolina
  3. Hey guys, I recently purchased a used fujifilm x pro 2 which looks really in great condition. There are only 1-2 really small and not really noticeable scratches. So the problem I have is actually that the camera sometimes doesn't turn on. I switch it off between taking pictures while walking and sometimes when I try to turn it back on it doesn't light up. I've read here and there that a few other people also encountered this issue but didn't really update us on it. So my question is if someone has dealt with this and what could be a solution to it. If there's no solution I actually really like my fuji x pro 2 and would be interested if the issue becomes worse with time or it stays quite the same. Thanks in advance guys!
  4. Hi everyone, I just bought recently a used Fuji X-T2 (2 years old) with very few shots (the camera is in like new condition), the camera is perfect for my kind of use (as a hobby) but I came across with a huge problem: when the battery is at 80% or less and using the mechanical shutter, after pressing the shutter button to take a photo the camera goes completely black on the LCD and EVF and freezes. I can't even turn off the camera and need to remove and replace the battery. It just crashes every single time I try shooting with mechanical shutter. Using the electronic shutter the camera works normally. Using the mechanical shutter, the camera works perfectly only when the battery is fully charged. Both firmwares (Body and Lens) are updated with the last version available. Please, if anyone could tell me something about this problem I would appreciate that!
  5. Hello all. i have found several threads on various forums and grops for this issue but mst of them are more than 12months old. I am having some trouble with my X-T3 and I am looking for some help or suggestions. As i have found online this is issue its called “camera locked up” Out of the blue the camera freezes. The LCD would still be showing a live view, but the entire HUD would disappear. The camera would not respond to any buttons being pressed. Even switching it off wouldn’t work. Additionally, the orange LED light is on and not going off or going into green. The only way to recover control was to literally pop the battery out and put it back in. I am shooting on single mode not CL or CH. Compressed RAW and Fine JPEG setup: X-T3 with 18-55 kit lens (less than two months old from my local fuji reseller) Original Fuji battery Latest firmware for both the body and the lens SanDisk 64GB Extreme 90MB/s (picture here. I had it from a 60D canon) I have reset to factory settings tried another lens as well. Reinstalled the latest firmware via SD Card. SD card format on camera. to be honest i have not identify any pattern for the issue. it happens randomly and in various lighting and temperature conditions Any suggestions or possible solutions will be appreciated. Thank you !
