  1. Once the 7artisans 35mm F1.2 got announced on Fujirumors I started watching their lens and exploring more details online waiting for release. The sales started on December 28 2017, but I didn't find any good review of this lens, so decided to purchase and try it myself. This noon I've received free sample directly from 7artisans factory which they generously gifted as a result of our recent cooperation ( thank you 7artisans Team! ) I'll break this review into few parts to fit more images into this review. You can also directly read extended review version. Unboxing 7artisans 35mm F1.2 lens - Part I The parcel arrived fully wrapped in white film with 7artisans logo. Inside I've found carefully bubble-film packed lens black box that looks cool. The box is sealed with two factory stickers. You may check for "FX" extra sticker in the top right corner before unpacking to make sure the correct mount is delivered. It's the first lens box I got with QR code, will check it later : ) First interesting thing you will see in the box is the "Salute to shutterby" shiny phrase, warranty card and manual. The lens is wrapped in plastic bag and secured inside high density foam (reminds me about early Fuji XF lens packaging). Lens much smaller than I expected and looks very cute. It comes with metal front cap and plastic rear cap. The glass looks very clean, I didnt notice any visible dust. My sample has SN: A6351608 , and I see SN: A635003 on the 7artisans site, so it seems to be 1608th sample produced. Lens glass is definitely multicoated which I can see form reflections. The focus and aperture rings are rotating very smooth and not too loose.
  2. Here is my short guide on 7artisans 35mm F1.2 lens – partial disassembly I like how it's built, and possibly try to mod it to the click-stop aperture version.
  3. I've recently borrowed this lens from Hamish Gill to try it on my Fuji X-E2s and write short review of 7artisans 12mm F2.8 lens on 35MMC Here's also related 7artisans 12mm F2.8 Flickr public group for lens samples I've purchased this lens after writing review, and now just waiting for better weather to make more live shots. Also the partial disassembly is planned soon : ) Please let me know if you have any questions on this lens, will be happy to share more details. 7artisans 12mm F2.8 shot with Fuji X-E2s
  4. I have this lens (XF mount version) for about 4 month, and like how it performs on Fuji X-E2s. The only thing I was missing - is click-stop aperture. Today I've finally made that mod : ) It's quite simple if you have proper tools and repair skills, so including related article to use: Click-stop aperture for 7artisans 35mm F1.2 lens
  5. I’ve purchased 7artisans 50mm F1.8 lens three weeks ago directly from eBay 7artisans store. Here's my short review on this lens: Lens Review – 7artisans 50mm F1.8 (FX Mount)
  6. Hi All I have the 35mm f1.4 that I like a lot. It's kinda welded to my xpro2 as it takes 99% of my photos. I like the simplicity of the 50mm equivalent fov, and the fact I can use it for almost everything. I'm looking for another 35mm lens, with a wider opening, as 1.4 does not always take enough light in (I do a lot of portraits at night). So I'm considering the Mitakon 35mm f0.95, which seems to have a lot of good user reviews. I can get it used under 400€ I think. Meanwhile, 7artisans announced a similar lens for half that price which, if I am to believe the hype, is equal if not better than the Mitakon. Should I believe it, and get the 7 artisans? Or should I consider that 7artisans sent their best copies for youtubers for review, and that in reality, a 250$ lens can't be as good as a 550$ one? in which case I should get the Mitakon? 6mon
  7. Article on Lens Review - 7Artisans 60mm F2.8 1:1 Macro with Fuji X-T30 camera. Image samples on 7Artisans 60mm F2.8 lens Flickr group. Article on disassembly, focus calibration of 7Artisans 60mm F2.8 lens
  8. Hi Guys. I just have one 75 mm lens for fuji. For my needs (video + landscape photos) I want one more ultra-wide lens: 7Artisans 25mm T1.05 APSC CINE Wait for Future Tamron's 11-20mm F2.8 A noob question, but how do Cine lenses compare to regular lenses in still photography? I know that focus will be manual and it doesn't bother me, but what about IQ and sharpness? Thank you in advance
