  1. Hi guys, new Fuji-freak here! I bought yesterday X-T3 with the 18-55 lens and XF 50-140mm f2.8, both used. At first I was really impressed with both of them but soon I figured out that there's something strange with the 50-140 and autofocus. The problem occurs at the maximum 140mm focal lenght. The autofocus can't focus near. It will only work for longer distances (over 4-5 meters) even though the minimum focus distance should be 1 meter. Even a slight zoom out e.g. 138mm will make the autofocus work normally. All the settings are in "auto", I'm shooting in single shot mode and autofocus on single point. The problem occurs in every possible setup. Here's a video about the problem (I didn't find my stand so I had to use chair) [ignore the cat meowing] https://youtu.be/g8snv-60DBM Has anyone else had the same problem or should I return the lens?
  2. I'm considering adding a telephoto zoom to my lens kit, but not sure which one to get. I'm very much keen on doing occasional wildlife and bird photography, but it's not something I necessarily get to do that often. That's why I was thinking that the 50-140 is a more versatile lens for day-to-day use and that, with the 2x teleconverter, it would be sufficient for wildlife. Has anyone got experience with the 50-140 + 2x tele-converter? What's your experience with the picture quality and the auto-focus? Is this thinking just silly and I should simply save up for the 100-400 instead? Thanks!
  3. I'm a Canon shooter, but I'm looking to invest in a smaller, "every-day" camera. I've picked the X-T1 and would like some recommendations on lenses from people who have used them. I'm specifically looking for quality and sharpness and versatility. I'm curious if anybody would recommend other lenses over the one's I've picked: Primes: XF 14mm f/2.8 R (for landscapes, real estate interiors) XF 27mm f/2.8 (love the small size, For general walk-around, street photography) XF 56mm f/1.2 R (for portraits and street photography) Zooms: XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 R LM OIS (comfort zone, low price, small footprint. Probably my go-to lens everyday lens) XF 50-140mm f/2.8 R LM OIS WR (I love my long zooms for festivals, concerts, portraits, etc..). Need to have one in my kit. I currently shoot with a 5D Mark III with a 24-70 f/2.8 and a 70-300 f/4-5.6. I love my Canon gear, but it's too big and heavy to use for casual/daily use. I currently shoot mostly portraits and events (conventions, festivals and retail events) but am starting to get into real estate as well.
