Hello! This is my first post here. I'm an enthusiast and recently got an X-T1 Graphite and the 35mm/1.4 lens, which I absolutely adore so far. While I love the 35 for everyday shooting (mostly street, casual, environmental portraits, etc), I just took a trip out west to Oregon to go camping and found myself a bit limited by the FOV for nature/landscape/astrophotography and often had to shoot vertically to compensate. While I was able to take some nice shots (see below), I realized I would like to complement my 35 with something wider to give me more range— I've narrowed it down to the following options: 14mm 2.8, 16mm 1.4, and the 10-24mm f/4. I guess what I'm looking for is image quality and character, and versatility/practicality. Size and weight are a consideration, but I tried the 10-24 and 16mm in person and neither felt too crazy heavy or unbalanced with my X-T1. Budget isn't really an issue either. I'm leaning towards the 16mm (due to reviews I've seen, the sharpness, 1.4, and the weather sealing) or the 10-24 (due to the versatility and the fact it hits a lot of great FOV's, image quality, and IS). What would you recommend? Thanks! Trevor

I recently visited Northumberland in the North East of the UK. I took the Fuji X-T2 with 18-135mm and 10-24mm to the beach at dawn. http://www.mostly.photos/blog/2017/10/7/fuji-x-t2-dunstanburgh-castle http://www.mostly.photos/blog/2017/10/7/fuji-x-t2-dunstanburgh-castle-5af5a

I switched over to Fuji from Nikon a few years ago and seem to have become quite a gear collector. When I used Nikon I had a Nikon D7200 and the 24mm f1.8, 35mm f1.8, 50mm 1.8, 85mm f1.8, and 60mm f2.8D lenses. Since moving to Fuji I have managed to obtain the following: cameras: X-T3, X-T30, and recently the X100V lenses: Laowa 9mm f2.8, Fuji 10-24mm, Fuji 16mm F2, Fuji 16mm f1.4, Fuji 16-80, Fuji 18-55, Fuji 23mm f2, Fuji 27mm, Fuji 35mm f2, Mitakon 35mm, Fuji 50mm F2, Fuji 56mm, Voigtlander 58mm f1.4, Fuji 55-200, and the Fuji 90mm (still also have the Nikon 60mm f2.8D). So I love all of these lenses, but honestly have way too many to put them all to use as I should. I am wanting to move to a minimalist set up. I recently purchased the X100V and instantly fell in love with that camera. The one lens design has really helped me rediscover what I loved about photography upon first starting out. So the X100V is staying with me. So I am wanting to sell some of my excess and need some advice about what to keep. At the moment I am thinking about keeping the X-T3 with the Laowa 9mm, Fuji 16 f1.4, Fuji 56 f1.2, Fuji 90mm f2, Fuji 16-80mm, Mitakon 35mm, and Voigtlander 58mm f1.4 (just for the fun of manual focusing). My question is, does this sound like a reasonable set-up? I really want to move away from zooms (except for the 16-80 for fun).

I have a focus problem with my XF 10-24mm lens. If I manually focus, using the hyper-focal distance, at 10mm and f11, the resulting image is only sharp in the centre. If I set the focus close to infinity, the whole image is sharp. In both cases the distance indicator shows front to back sharpness. I have to focus very carefully to get a sharp result. This is my second lens which is better than the first one I had but at 10mm I should be able to get a sharp result no matter what distance is selected. Has anyone the same problems?

I am struggling with underexposed videos using my X-T3 and 10-24mm with interior Real Estate videos even with a decent amount of natural and ambient light. The footage is just too dark unless I pump up the ISO to 4000 where it gets really noisy. What are the best wide-angle lenses for the X-T3 with regards to interior Real Estate videography where it's usually low light? Also, is there a budget friendly option? I've gone through the Complete Overview of X Mount Lenses but I was hoping for some recommendations specific to the industry and video. Thanks for any help guys! Settings: 4K 29.97P I would prefer 59.94P to slow down some shots YouTube encoding prefers 30P ss60 F4.0 ISO 800-4000 200Mbps H.264 / H.265 Long GOP / ALL-Intra Eterna Custom White Balance DR400 Film Simulation Recording / F-Log Recording

Hi everyone, I started 'serious' photography in the 1970s, using Russian 35mm cameras like Zeniths, Zorkis and Feds (it was an unwritten law that everybody had to start with them). Latched onto Pentax, then Bronica, DSLR Nikons and have finally regressed to that retro look of Fuji, although I swore I'd never buy one again after the fiasco of the 'Lens Control Error' in my XF1. Bought an X-E3 but have ditched the 15-45mm lens because it doesn't suit my style of photography (Candid People shots). I like to get close to my subjects, shooting from the hip using an ultra-wide lens set at f8/f11, with aperture priority. I didn't enjoy using the aforementioned zoom especially after setting it at the widest angle and strolling round the streets of my nearest town, only to discover later that I had inadvertently touched the (one-touch) zoom ring and ended up with a load of useless shots at 45mm! I'm looking at buying the 10-24mm but am worried that zooming on this is also motorised. Could any of you hardened Fujiholics let me know if the zooming is manual on this lens or am I showing my age and ALL Fuji zooms are motorised? Thank you in advance

Hi all, as I'm planning to travel quite a bit this year I'm thinking about best combo for my Fuji xt-20. It's an age old question, what is more practical. A set of small f2 primes. 50mm f2, 23mm f1.4 (IQ of 23mm f2 is disapointing to me), and something even wider like 14 f2.8/ rokinon 12mm f2. Or a slow zoom 10-24 f4 and 18-55 f2.8-4, that you don't need to change that often. What is your expirience? I will be visiting cities, that's why I need wide angles lens for architecture. I currently own 23mm f1.4, 56 f1.2 and 18-55 f2.8-4, for context.

Hi all, i need help. I want to cover my wide, and i'm torn between these 2 lenses (tough dec). To be honest, i'm leaning towards 16mm, then i'll use my legs as my "zoom" what do you think? Which one should i get and why? Thanks.
