rghoag1 got a reaction from le boecere in X-E2: ‘! Switch off-Switch on’ message.
Happened with my XE1 and 35f 1.4. Cleaned contacts , solved the problem.

I purchased an 100V through Amazon.ca on 5 April. The vendor contacted me today: while they have stock they could not fulfill my order as Fuji had released a recall on the 100V by serial number based on the overheating issue. The dealer told me that Fuji would not be issuing a recall to customers at this time as their factory and refurb facilities are closed during this crisis.

Tenor, what lens you had on the camera while having that message? If I remember well, I had it a couple times.
Always if I remember well, I had the 55-200 mounted. I've cleaned the contacts on the lens, maybe also on the camera. I think I haven't had the message anymore.

I don't think Fuji makes a fixed lens camera that's dust resistant. Best thing you can do is put on a UV filter (to prevent the AF motor from sucking in air/dust) and not store the camera in dusty/linty places (like pockets.)

IMHO, the new X-Pro3 has a terrible design. I'm glad I have an X-Pro2!

Lucky you, I went to Cornwall armed with my Xe1 and 35mm and found it was a bit tight,
Wide would have been better, I think you will be fine with the 18-55.

Steve, great photos! I just can recommend the Rokinon 12mm f2 for milky way shoots. It is a very simple (manual focus only) but brilliant lens. You will receive great value. I also use the Rokinon for star shooting. I think it just give me the perfect aspect ratio for milky way (very wide, but not too wide). Also, it is really sharp and very easy to handle. What I also recommend to get the last piece of perfection for your star shooting, is the iOptron Star tracker. It allows me to do 4-5 minutes exposures, while closing the lens to f/4 and stepping down the ISO values to ISO800. It requires to do two separate images (one for the background, one for the foreground), because the skytracker will move the camera.

I know what you mean. I think the 5D Classic was my favorite DSLR. I liked the colors it produced better than the MKII. I still think about buying another one, but I don't use any of my Canon gear anymore.

    Heres an interesting thing ......

I may well have lost the plot (quite possible)

    Anyway here goes...

In the beginning there was the XP1 which after a bumpy start I ended up really liking , it had soul it was a camera that just felt right ...

Then enter the XT1 with all its bells and whistles and yes I was tempted  by the new camera and ended up with 2 of them

They were fine and I used them with no problems but I did not love them
Compared to my XP1's they were ugly and just had no soul

Yep I know I'm mad but to me a camera needs to have something about it more than mega pixels and fancy focus , if the camera feels right a decent snapper will make great pics , I really do believe that

    So....

Here we are at XP2 launch and I have had mine a few days
    Yes it works fine
    Yes its faster

But having it made me get my XP1's out of the cupboard and guess what .... It doesn't seem so slow
Granted its not very useful for super fast things but I don't snap super fast things

Then I started looking at image files from the XP1 days and I think some of my best Fuji era work was on those cameras !

Ive also printed those files to A1 with no problems  (I'm never likely to go bigger )

So here I am with 2   XP1 bodies and an XP2 body , I am 2 days away from a job in Paris and I am seriously thinking do I dare go back to the old days !

I am seriously considering it and if I do .......  who wants to buy an XP2
