Real X-T10 Vs. Mock Up X-T10... which one do you prefer?
Aswald replied to Patrick FR's topic in Fuji X-T1 / Fuji X-T10
I like the original version. I believe the X-T10 will be one of those cameras which will steal your heart once you've used it. -
WOW: XF 90mmF2 WR First Look and Samples... Stunning IQ!

Wow.....really outstanding lens! -
Very cool depiction.

You are spot on. This is one major advantage when processing raw files. X-Trans II produced slightly deeper colors when post processing their raw files.

I think we did more than compare jpeg files in the 5 hour conference........ I certainly agree with you that the X-T1 is a fantastic camera..

I'll certainly give it a try. The stuffed animal belonged to my niece and is well "used". Originally it had a grey/pink body and peach/skin rest of body. I didn't want to alter the jpeg and shot on auto. Tripod is at same position. Yes, it was focused on the eye. Somehow this copy of 85 don't play well on the 5D3 as it does on the 5Dc. All other lenses I have worked almost identically on the 2 bodies. Sent back to Canon for checks and calibration but same results.

MHG-X100
Aswald replied to winspeare's topic in Fuji X100VI / X100 / X100S / X100T / X100F / X100V / Fuji X70
No worries. They handle thousands of products it's literally impossible to 100% correct. -
Thought I'd do a comparison between the two portrait lenses. These pics aren't meant to be technical. I just wanted to see the difference in bokeh. Note - Slight back focus on the Canon EF and background light was accidentally turned on the Fujifilm causing a slight shift in wb. (My apologies) EF85@F1.2, 1/125s, ISO200, 5D3 and the other XF56@F1.2, 1/125s, ISO200, X-Pro1

I thought I'd start a vs thread and do a side by side comparison. First up at two of my favorite lenses. XF56@F1.2, 1/125s, ISO2500 and the other XF34@F1.4, 1/125, ISO3200 on X-Pro1 The pics did suffered from compression when posting.

Lens: XF14mm or XF16mm or XF16-55... hard question...
Aswald replied to Wabisabiphotography's topic in Fuji X Lenses
I would get the XF35 F1.4 and the XF16 F1.4. The 35 is just magical and the 16 is sharp wide open with insanely impossible DOF wide open too. -
For the longest time, I shot with and loved the Canon A1 slr. So, for an equally long time, I waited for an slr style mirrorless to emerge. Naturally when the X-T1 was announced, I was thrilled. Hurriedly, I bought the X-Pro1 just so to get to know the Fujifilm system in anticipation of the X-T1. Been loving it ever since.... Better than X-T1? Probably not. Just different.

Now...wouldn't these be nice to have? http://www.popphoto.com/video-geoffrey-berliners-lens-stash?dom=fb&src=SOC

MHG-X100
Aswald replied to winspeare's topic in Fuji X100VI / X100 / X100S / X100T / X100F / X100V / Fuji X70
This seems to be the MHG-XT model for the X-T1. For X100T, this is the correct model. 4.8oz http://www.amazon.com/Fujifilm-16445745-x100-Metal-Black/dp/B00OD3ABFY/ref=pd_sim_sbs_421_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=01F8NJ2RA1NC8430RZTX -
Well, a couple of ambassadors were my friends. They're professionals and shoot with both bodies. I had a back room chat with most of them and was privy to a host of comparos. Since then I've also shot with the X-T1 on and off. Absolutely loved the X-T1, esp the design and the straight on AF speed. Amazing when you nail follow focus. Picture wise, I really can't tell them apart....if anything, I preferred those coming from the X-Pro1. It's an entirely personal taste so I put the X-T1 aside as I didn't need the AF speed. I will probably look very seriously at the X-Pro2 when it arrives. Then the X-Pro1 will be my 2nd body.

That's great! I love Netherlands already!

A very “ special" leather strap.
Aswald replied to milandro's topic in Bags, Half Cases & Straps for Fuji X
Very interesting. Definitely will look into it. I'm using a custom from Japan. Hand made but no suspension straps like yours. They get twisted in the bag too. -
Nice. Has a psychedelic effect on me....

Sadly, this is very true.... From my observation, sometimes people are really talking to themselves and they want you to agree with them. To make them right or feel that they are right or have made the right choice, etc. There's another type who are compulsive problem stirrers.

When the X-T1 was launched, I had the option to "upgrade" from the X-Pro1. I consulted a few ambassadors I know personally on whether I should. At that point, they told me to hang on to the X-Pro1. I won't divulge too much on why but I can say that it's because of the X-Pro1's sensor. In fact ALL of them advised me to keep it and consider the X-T1 as a second body if I must get the X-T1.
-
No one said it was easy but it's definitely not impossible. Each sensor has it's digital algorithm and color profiles like CC can be programmed into it's native algorithm. Only one formulation is needed for all X-Trans 1 models. What we're asking is why Fujifilm doesn't offer CC in it's older models. It could be technical, economics or just plain marketing strategy. We have to remember that until the X-Pro2 comes along, the X-Pro1 is still the flagship model. So, it definitely doesn't jive that the flagship doesn't enjoy a CC update. Fujifilm promised their cleints that they will listen and try their best to continue to further improve their line up as long as they have our support. So, here we are, proud supporters and we're telling them that CC in older models would be nice. It's not a demand, it's a feedback. What we are not doing is sulking over the diminishing "freebies" as you have implied. If you asked me, I think Fujifilm just doesn't have the manpower or resource to cover the demands from owners of older models. They are a very small outfit compared to the big boys. We're supporting them while they grow with the hope that they continue to support our gears, for as long as possible. A halt in Firmware update is usually a precursor to end of life support for a product.

I have the X-Pro1. When I asked Fujifilm themselves, most of their ambassadors tell me to get the X-T1 as a 2nd body. It makes sense really.
