  1. Nice end effect. beautiful friend. I would've positioned her a little more to the right and let her stare into some more space on the left hand side of the photo.
  2. Between the X-T1 and X-E2, I would say the X-T1 has a slight edge. Between the 5D3 and X-T1, I would say the 5D3 has a slight edge with some of the EF "L" lenses you attach to the body. To your question of the X-E2 as back up camera, I think it's very good as a back up. Which 52 F1.2 lens did you use with your X-E2?
  3. Congrats! I heard it's sprightly little gem!
  4. Nicely done. I still don't get how this method enables the subject not to have motion blur.
  5. Nice shots! What's the optimal working distance for a full body shot of your kid?
  6. Sony + Fuji.....looks like you've got the best of both worlds! For me I'm hoping that the X-Pro2 will be the "bridge" camera between Sony and Fujifilm. It is looking rather promising. I guess I'm lucky as I haven't come onto any fractal problems in any of my photos so far. I use Adobe PS CS6 without issues. Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, I take travel landscape with the EOS M. It's light and produces decent enough images for me. I'll be the first to concede that I'm NO landscape photographer. Here's an example. I loved the gloomy day.
  7. I'm learning! And thanks for the link.....
  8. I love this little camera already! http://fujifilm-blog.com/2015/07/23/x-t1-or-x-t10/

  10. Nice jpegs! Have you tried Raw File Converter EX2 by Silkypix? I am getting as good results or as near as jpegs.
  11. Interesting.....and quite sorry to hear that......I don't do much landscape but those which I have done, I blamed the poor result on my lack of experience and the XF18 F2 lens. Any landscape photographers care to comment? I was waiting for the XF16 F1.4R before I drew any conclusions........Fujifilm UK posted this blog review. The landscape looks pretty decent here. Lightroom was quoted. http://fujifilm-blog.com/2015/07/23/x-t1-or-x-t10/
  12. I think so. Fujifilm will still manufacture their own color filters. Hopefully the SONY sensor will see an increase in DR. +15 ev? Imagine.....
  13. Thanks for the offer. That's what I'm trying to achieve. In scenarios where the jpegs aren't what I'm looking for, I should be able to edit raw to maybe a slightly better end result. I'm finally using the RFC EX2 and I can say that it's far better than the version 1. I'll post examples of the two in a bit.
  14. Weird, why would RFC 2 keep a copy of the older RFC after installation. I've been using RFC 1 without knowing.....
  15. fly, can you post a link to your column please? And thanks for chipping in. Really helpful.
  16. Fantastic picture IQ, Dials, Compact size......and a bit nostalgic.
  17. Thanks for the detailed run down of Lightroom. I've heard a lot about how good Lightroom is but I have not had the chance to try it out yet. I can considering Lightroom if it helps with getting better results out of Fujifilm's raw files. So far, I'm not getting very good results editing raw files with raw file converter. Pictures come out muted, dull and noisy.
  18. Haha...pretty "funny" guy. He may have a point. I tried it and it works! I always use distilled water after Tiffen fluid anyways. Thanks for the link.
  19. When I was starting out, I had a "pro" photographer telling fellow togs that I must be a novice because I was using aperture priority and not full manual. If you can capture great pictures, whether it's auto ISO on or off, it's really ok. I have auto iso on if the lighting is very dynamic, like outdoors. Especially when the sun is playing hide and seek behind clouds. For interior shots using flash, I usually turn it off. That is so that I can balance the background according to the kind of shot I am looking for.
  20. Sorry to hear that.
  21. Has anyone of you been able to edit and convert a raw file to look exactly like the camera's jpeg? With Fujifilm's Raw File Converter EX by Silkypix?
  22. There is ONE major advantage that the original grip has over it's other reincarnate or 3rd party versions. Weight. Original grip is much, much lighter.
