corintography reacted to RadBadTad in Orientation Aware Focus Points (Request)
I've talked about this here before, but I think it was back on the X-T1. I thought it might be worthwhile to bring it up again, since it still hasn't happened.
I would love to see camera-orientation specific AF points, so that when you rotate to Portrait orientation, the AF point jumps to where it was the last time you were in portrait orientation.
The Canon 7D has this, and it's invaluable for fast paced things like shooting concerts, and energetic portraiture. When I'm in portrait orientation and I have a performer's head at the top of the frame, and then I rotate back to landscape for a different shot, the AF point jumps back to where it was the last time I had it in landscape, which keeps the focus point on the performer's head, assuming I'm keeping their head in the top of the frame. Without the feature, it's really annoying to quickly switch back and forth between portrait and landscape for the same subject over and over for different shots. The focus nipple on the battery grip helps some, but it still requires me to manually change the point every single time I rotate.
Here's a (clunky) video of the 7D in action

I tweeted to Fuji USA about the feature request, and they liked the tweet, but who knows what that means. At least I know someone saw it.

corintography got a reaction from chovik in Which Slingstrap for X-T2?
I just use the LHS (Playback Button Side) and the Capture plate on the bottom, the camera then sits nicely behind my back is balanced and my right hand doesn't have to contend with a strip on that side.
I've resorted to mostly using the capture and cuff now which works well for me.

With such a shallow depth if field it will be really difficult to get pin sharp, use face detection + eye detection AF and see how you go.

Location scouting with an old friend and classmate.
All shot on the X-T1, using the 56 1.2 APD, 16 1.4 and some generic speedlights.

Putting the new Fuji XF 16 1.4 to use. Love this lens, just what I needed for when the X100T doesn't give me the wide angle I need.
Both shot with the X-T1, 16 1.4, manual speedlights via 60x60 softbox.

corintography reacted to Dajerling in Is Fuji still committed to the x100 line? Still worth it?
Hi everyone,
Does anyone know if a firmware upgrade will come for X100T with improved AF and digital teleconversion like seen on the new X70 ?
Thx.

corintography reacted to Antony in Travel to Italy: X100T or X-E2?
If you want to improve your photography then take the X100T. It makes you think more about composition. Don't forget, if you need to go wider take a panorama in portrait orientation, or just take three images and stitch later.

My facebook page covers street photography almost exclusively in Italy, with photographs and articles, if anybody is thinking of going to Italy. There are even articles and discussion about the Law, and where and how you can take photographs. There is a lot of information, both in English and in Italian:
