I just use the LHS (Playback Button Side) and the Capture plate on the bottom, the camera then sits nicely behind my back is balanced and my right hand doesn't have to contend with a strip on that side. I've resorted to mostly using the capture and cuff now which works well for me.

This would be due to DOF at the relevant aperture. F/2 has a very narrow field of focus vs f/16 which is basically everything in focus to start with so locks on straight away. Same thing happens with all fast lenses when using them wide open. Sent from my LG-H850 using Tapatalk

The X-Pro2 I agree but the X70 just has V4 of the XT1 firmware and is what should be ported over to the X100T to bring it in line with the rest of that generation like the recent XE2 updates. Sent from my LG-H815 using Tapatalk

I'm looking at this as I don't have an X100T and with young kids its too slow. This is more compact and hopefully AF is equivalent to my XT1, that would make this a great every day camera to always have on hand. Sent from my LG-H815 using Tapatalk

With such a shallow depth if field it will be really difficult to get pin sharp, use face detection + eye detection AF and see how you go. Sent from my LG-H815 using Tapatalk

I have a 3yo and a 1yo and I too use the XT1 + 16-55 as my go to lens. I have the peak design slide and wear it as a sling with the camera positioned in my back. It's a great strap, secure and fast to access, you can get it nice and tight, it does however tend to loosen itself over time ( say an hour or two of waking ever so slightly). I'm not worried about damaging the camera as I'm careful and hold the kids on the opposite hip to the camera. If I do need something more secure I go for the capture clip which is awesome but does take longer to get to the camera vs sliding the strap around. The slide is a thick and bulky strap but it's great to wear all day. The bottom mount blocks the battery slot which is not a deal breaker for me but I am considering getting a grip do I don't have to keep removing the mount. Highly recommended, much prefer having two mounting points vs the single black rapid one. One other thing to note is that you may need to remove the bushes from the eyelets if you want to mount the anchors directly to the eyelets. Sent from my LG-H815 using Tapatalk
