  1. I'd just like the app to work consistently by connecting my camera and iPad.
  2. Wow! One person who doesn't keep boxes! Tom H. bucks the trend!
  3. I've always kept the boxes my camera gear came in, never really questioning why, but thankful I did as it may have improved the value of the equipment when I came to sell it years later. But I'm wondering what others do. Do you keep your camera and lens boxes, or do you discard them? Cheers, Derek
  4. I have a Billingham Hadley Pro for my X-T1 and love it (bought it used on eBay). It was handy as carry on for my recent trip to Canada, holding the following: * X-T1 with 35mm F2 * 16mm * iPad Mini * Passports and papers * A few filters/adapters While in Canada, it was handy as I was able to remove the liner that was holding the camera equipment and use the bag to carry my stuff for the gym (shorts, travel towel, Vibrams, shirt, socks, undies, and toiletries).
  5. I ended up going with a used graphite X-T1. I ran into a tourist who was using the X-T10 and when I asked her how she liked it, she said that she wished she had bought the X-T1 as she's always worried about getting it wet. lol I'd be the same way (a bit of a worrier) so I thought spending the extra bit was worth it. I'm off to Canada tomorrow where I have a new 35mm F2 and 16mm awaiting me at my cousin's (cheaper to buy them over there on sale than here in the UK).
  6. I'm waiting for Formatt-Hitech to come out with Firecrest ND and Grad filters for its 85mm system. I've read good things about the ND filters (especially their 13 and 16 stop filters) and a Fuji X-Photographer I like uses them.
  7. That's why I use the electronic level in my cameras when taking landscapes (and in other instances) as I think I naturally tilt my head ever so slightly, resulting in tilted pics (which I notice when straightening in LR).
  8. Shhhhh. If they knew that, what would they have to complain about? Same goes for the "No 4k Video Club"..nobody's forcing them to shoot in 4k, but they'll complain about it nonetheless.
  9. Frankly, my opinion is "To each their own". If heavy editing in software makes you happy and gives you results you like, awesome! If you want to be a "purist" and use jpg's SOOC and love doing that...awesome! So what is more important? Answer: Whatever makes you happy.
  10. Saw this on eBay: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Fujifilm-XF-35mm-f-2-R-WR-Lens-Black-/162094672475?hash=item25bd986a5b:g:cL8AAOSwbYZXVOYI Seems like someone likes the "relic" look as here is the description of the lens hood: "Also includes a vented lens hood that has been sanded down for that Viet Nam War photographer look (only the third party hood has been sanded - the lens and Fuji accessories are perfect)."
  11. Saw this on eBay and had a wee chuckle: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Fujifilm-XF-35mm-f-2-R-WR-Lens-Black-/162094672475?hash=item25bd986a5b:g:cL8AAOSwbYZXVOYI A quote from the description: "Also includes a vented lens hood that has been sanded down for that Viet Nam War photographer look (only the third party hood has been sanded - the lens and Fuji accessories are perfect)."
  12. I ended up buying a wrist strap from Hard Graft.
  13. Wise words that apply so well to life in general.
  14. Or when they want to tell you why "photo cameras" should never have 4k.
