  1. He's not a youtuber but I don't think he bought a copy of the lens neither. That's the problem with this kind of review, it's hard to think a manufacturer would send a random lens from their production. It's obviously the best one they could find. Hard to believe the review.
  2. Hi All I have the 35mm f1.4 that I like a lot. It's kinda welded to my xpro2 as it takes 99% of my photos. I like the simplicity of the 50mm equivalent fov, and the fact I can use it for almost everything. I'm looking for another 35mm lens, with a wider opening, as 1.4 does not always take enough light in (I do a lot of portraits at night). So I'm considering the Mitakon 35mm f0.95, which seems to have a lot of good user reviews. I can get it used under 400€ I think. Meanwhile, 7artisans announced a similar lens for half that price which, if I am to believe the hype, is equal if not better than the Mitakon. Should I believe it, and get the 7 artisans? Or should I consider that 7artisans sent their best copies for youtubers for review, and that in reality, a 250$ lens can't be as good as a 550$ one? in which case I should get the Mitakon? 6mon
  3. Just curious. First pic: how did you manage to have some motion blur on the back of the car while the front is tack sharp? Same for the last pic.

    Tim cook portrait

Thanks for all your answers. VCSO preset, really? Had it been with a white background, with the color of the shirt, hair and everything, it would have been very cold. I like this portrait because it make Tim Cook someone warm, human, and trustworthy. It terms of marketing (that's my job) it's perfect. I have to shoot portraits of 20 professionals soon and I need them to look like serious specialists in their field while remaining human, accessible and trustworthy. So... VSCO preset? If it's a preset then I should be able to do it without the preset Split toning and softboxes, that's a start point. I'll try to reproduce that before I go shoot my clients. Thank you all for your helpful comments.
  5. Same story here. I have a x100t and the case is perfect. I also have a xpro1 and the leather case is far from good: no access to the battery! But I got an xpro2 and here's your answer: it doesn't fit. The xpro2 is bigger. I use only the top part of the case to protect the xpro2 in my bag, as a temporary solution.

    Tim cook portrait

Hi all, I'm very impressed but this portrait of Tim Cook by Joe Pugliese. Particularly by the colors. I was wondering how it was done. I'm new to portrait photography so it's not clear to me what's the setup employed. I imagine a softbox and reflector... But what part is due to post processing? Is the beige color added afterwards or was it the lighting? Or even the background? What's your opinion? Thanks Simon
