  1. As an XE1 owner who has been waiting for the XE3, I was very disappointed in the news of the XE2s, which is a 2 year old camera with a larger grip and new firmware. If I were going to upgrade now, there's no compelling reason why I (and anyone else) shouldn't just buy an XE2 for less money and upgrade the firmware. I don't think the XE2s will sell very well. I don't enjoy the shooting experience with a center viewfinder at all, so no XT series for me, And I'm not buying an XPro2 as I dont need an OVF, and it's too big and heavy for my needs which defeats the point of going mirrorless, IMO. If we have to buy the XE2s to ever see and XE3, then we will never see an XE3 and Fuji will likely lose me as a customer.
  2. Are you the person who writes rhe blog "photos the X Pro-1 Can't take"? I love that blog and your satirical photo commentary is similar in style. If not no worries, but I agree with you about mastering the lenses you have. In this case, I bought the 27 not for the FL, but to turn my XE-1 into a more totable "XE100" to see if I take it with me more than my 18-55. So far, it seems like I do
  3. yes, I bought one from Adorama for 7$, and it's an OEM fuji lenscap. Enjoying the lens so far. No better than my 18-55, but much smaller.
  4. Well, I finally snagged a silver one in VG condish, for $170 on Ebay. It's silver, not black like I wanted, and missing the front lens cap, but I'll finall get to see what all the fuss is about.
  5. Thanks for all the advice -- I'm probably leaning toward the 27.
  6. I'm curious --better in what way? I've been looking at both on Ebay and am wondering if I should just get the 27mm for my xe1, or add a second body in the X100. The x100 goes for $300 to 400 depending on condition, the 27mm goes for $200 to $275.
  7. I'm new to the forum, but have been stalking this lens on Ebay for a few months now, trying to get a used one for under $200, which is proving hard to do. I have the 18-55 and the 35 1.4, so I'm not sure I can justify spending more than that on something that is a redundant focal length for the sake of portability. Has this lens really increased the frequency of taking your camera along just by virtue of the more slender profile? It seems like it would be a "nice to have" lens vs a "must have" lens and might come later to those with a limited budget. I don't have the 14mm yet, for instance.
