  1. The 'Garry Winogrand Signature' - 18mm (28mm) 1.4, with a 'road-worn' square metal (black paint, on brass) hood... yummy.
  2. I think 16/24mm is a 'neither-here-nor-there' focal length. Too wide for street and people photography and not wide enough when you really want to go wwwwwwiiiiiiiiiide. For what you describe I have a 14, 18 and 23, which I chose in preference to the 10-24 (which I used to own). I like the fact that I can use a smaller filter system (Hitech 85 in my case) on these lenses. If I were you Trevor, assuming you're not quite sure, I'd get the 10-24, which has half a dozen of the popular (35mm equivalent) focal lengths - 18, 21, 24, 28, 35 - all in one lens. It also has OIS and a 'fixed' zoom mechanism so it doesn't extend during zooming, giving it at least a little resistance to the elements. Or if budget really isn't an issue get the primes.
  3. I've not seen any pictures of this, but I want a silver one on my black X-T1... do I need counselling?
  4. Hello. I'm a designer / photographer based between the Malverns and the Cotswolds. Getting more and more into documentary photography, covering the work and practices of artists and traditional artisans. I also do photography for a couple of small architectural practices. Switched from Canon 5DIII, via Nikon D810 to an X-T1, X-M1 backup, with 14, 18, 23 and 35 (f2) lenses. I've also owned the 10-24, 18-55 and 16-55 zooms, so I'll contribute my views, on the appropriate threads, if I think they can be of any use to anyone contemplating buying them. That's me for now. Look forward to conversation on the Forum. Regards, Arthur.
