Never cease to be amazed at my Fuji gear. This is the X-T1 with 100-400 at 400mm 1/80s hand held f5.6 iso 400 and through a dirty window too!

Armagh reacted to MatthiasX in Mobile Workflow with iPad/iOS - Being in the dark
    Hi there!

I'm new to fuji and this is my first post after reading for some weeks in this forum. My brand new xt2 has arrived and is going to replace my broken pentax k5.

I am very interested in mobile raw processing workflows, since iOS 10 and the newest lightroom mobile seemed to make a bis step in the right direction.

I was following the tutorial of Elia Locardi on Petapixel, and I think I would be happy with this workflow (and even consider to buy an iPad pro), if it would work!
    http://petapixel.com/2016/09/01/pro-photographers-raw-workflow-lightroom-mobile/

But there is one thing that seems not to work as shown in the tutorial. And I can't figure out why:

On my iPad Air 2 (and as well as on my iPhone 7) I am able to import the RAW files from the xt2 via the SD-lighting-adapter. But during the import (and in the photos app as well) iOS does not show/preview the pictures. As soon as they are imported from photos app to lightroom mobile, everything seems to works fine. But without seeing which files I am importing to the iPad the whole workflow is ridiculous. A bit to much being in the dark, at least for my taste.

Does anyone have a good idea why it dies works as the video suggests?

    Matthias

I've been using the Fuji X-T1 and 50-140mm lens for a bit of Sports photography and on the whole it has performed really well.  Focus has been good though the central zone focussing still hits the background at times rather than the action. I'm looking forward to seeing the improvements that are coming with the X-T2.  Here are a couple of photographs from what was a fairly dark ladies football match.  More pics from the match and others here: https://paulmellingphotography.com

I purchase an Fuji X-T2 which I've been using to shoot soccer with a zoom XF 50-140/2,8
It's a big step up from the X-T1 in AF-C capability.
I've got the AF-C setting set to second custom preset „Ignore obstacles&continue to track subject“, and it works fine. I have done ca. 600 photos and only 4 was total out of focus. The most of photos is razor sharp. Some photos is little bit soft, but without problem - it can be easy solved by post proces.
    Other setting:
shutter 1/1000, aperture f4, ISO AUTO, phase detect area 3x3 (zone focusing), CH 5 shots/minute, boost ON, grip XT2-VPB. !! lens OIS was OFF !! becausse panning.
    Conclusion:
I´m very satified with the AF-C and keeper rate.
Any other settings I should be playing with?

Covered my first fully Fujifilm sports game yesterday for local press and website. XT 10 and 100-400 plus 1.4 converter and X100S camera for team shot. I didn't even need a bag!

Armagh got a reaction from Nicnic in Play between XT10 and Lens disconnects viewfinder
I have the new 100-400 lens on my XT10 and really am enjoying it but one frustrating thing is that, when you zoom the lens either way, the connection between lens and body has enough play to disconnect the viewfinder and presumably all electrics.

One minute you are zooming from 100 to 400 and the next the viewfinder goes black until you zoom a bit the other way again to reconnect. The stiffness of the zoom is probably a contributory factor. I'm sure I'll live with it but it is annoying and not really something that should happen.

Probably hard to tell if the fault likes with the lens mount or the camera mount!

Anyone else noticed the same on XT10 or XT1?

Hi everybody. I saw a wonderful photo of what I presume is a rice picker, and it lead me to this thread. I wanted to share the picture I took last night in Prague, Czech Republic.

      Best regards to all!
