DarnGoodPhotos got a reaction from Xenon100F in My vintage X70 (not for weak hearted)
Fuji could have made the X-T1 look like a modern curvy DSLR, but they chose to look vintage; its a fake style that I and many others find appealing. They could have even made a modern body with marked dials. Heck, prior to the X100, curvy bodies is what Fuji was making. Its a direction that has been very successful for them, but there is nothing authentic about the retro styling and film simulations Fuji uses, but its funny the things we object to.
Your diploma analogy is not relevant because Glitch is not pretending to have earned those scratches.
I don't care if someone distress their camera, I only care if they pretend the distressing is real.

I only care if the person is pretending that mud and those example of distressing were earned. He is not doing that.

One can only assume that everyone criticizing you for faking a look have never used any of Fuji's "Film Simulations".

They're all going to be about the same.

It doesn't matter how close his hand was. If it were closer than the minimum he should have seen the red box not the green box he saw.

I agree about the view modes and I really wish Fuji would let us customize which ones we want. Given that choice I would have Eye Sensor and EVF+Eye Sensor.

DarnGoodPhotos got a reaction from healing influence in X100T buy?
The next X100 will have the new sensor and processor, joystick AF control, improved EVF, Acros film simulation faster AF, and possibly a tilt screen and new lens; however, it may be more expensive.
Do you want those improvements? Are the improvements worth several hundred dollars more to you? The exact difference is hard to say because if the XT2 is more expensive than the X-T1 then the next X100 will likely be more expensive than the X100T.

DarnGoodPhotos got a reaction from Curiojo in Fujifilm X-E2 for active toddlers and mountian landscapes
The benefit of a left-side viewfinder is that I can have both eyes open when shooting; even with the EVF on even my X-Pro1. I can see what is actually going on with my left eye and check framing through the EVF with my right eye. I usually have mine set to burst so its easy to grab two or three shots of the subject.

DarnGoodPhotos got a reaction from Curiojo in A good used, affordable Fuji (with hybrid OVF/EVF) for Street Photography?
Depends on the person. I sold my X-T1 and went back to a Pro1 and do just fine without the tilt screen and bigger EVF.
You should be able to find a used x100s for the price you mentioned. A Pro 1 is even cheaper if you already have a lens.

Touchdcreen doesnt work with most gloves. You need a physical control.
