Long time lurker who finally joined. After months of research I took a leap of faith and dumped my aging Nikon D300s, 14mm 2.8, 50mm 1.8 and 80-200mm 2.8 in order to fund an X-T1 and 16-55mm 2.8.
The new gear showed up Monday and I've been playing with settings and taking sample shots. The 16-55 is almost perfect. Image quality, sharpness, color, almost everything is perfect. I say "almost" everything, because as amazing as it is, the 2.8 has left me underwhelmed indoors in lower light. Even though the X-T1 shoots clean at ISO 6400, I'm only getting a shutter speed of 1/30, which is too slow for my hands with this lens and body combo. SO..... I had to order a refurbished 35mm 1.4 It should be here tomorrow. Really looking forward to taking everything out this weekend for some proper photos.
