I found Superdrug in the UK selling "Tic Tac 100" (49g) and the box *exactly* fits the Fujifilm NP-W126.

The battery fits with room to spare vertically, as below, but I chose to store the battery horizontally which makes it a sliding fit (see later). I case you're wondering (I was), the box does *not* taper from top to bottom.

First step is to trim the lid down (it saves space, but mainly it makes it easier to pop the lid on and off):

Then you can trim the box down. In the image below you can see the battery slid into the box horizontally, and I found it was easier to cut the box down with the battery already inside it, because it stiffens the box while it's being cut.

Also from this image you can see I added a 'push' hole in the base of the box. As the battery is a sliding fit I thought I'd prefer to push the battery out rather than mess around knocking the box into the palm of my hand each time I wanted to remove the battery...

    Job done:

Because the battery is a sliding fit, I'm not convinced I actually need the lid at all. I'll keep it for a while and see how it goes. Maybe in future I'll just trim the box so it just covers the battery (and protects the terminals) and discard the lid.

My T1 perfectly shows the spot it's metering on. It's the same spot as the AF frame in Single-Point AF. So currently, I have 49 spots in 5 sizes to choose from, that's 245 different spot metering frames. I'm sure, other cameras (maybe you can name one) offer even more spot metering fine-tuning, but I'm okay with these options.

Btw, the shutter speed dial of my current T1 bodies (I have two) turns too easily. I often change the SS by accident when I change the metering mode. So I'd rather like Fuji add more torque, not less. Other users have voiced similar complaints, so as it is now, Fuji can choose between three groups: those who complain the SS dial turns too easily, those who complain that it turns too strongly and those who are perfectly happy with the dial and will complain if Fuji changes anything. Of course, there's also the option to set the SS dial to T and use the front command dial to change the shutter speed in 1/3 steps from 30s to 1/32000s. Actually, that's what I mostly do with my X-T10 and X-T1v4.

Lenses: Fuji already offers the best APS-C lens lineup of the industry. Just this weekend, I had a Pentax K5 shooter in one of my workshops who is already using an X30 and wants to switch to the X-T10. Why? Because even Pentax (the alleged king of APS-C DLSRs) doesn't give him the lenses he wants. But Fuji does. Of course, Fuji keeps adding lenses at a nice pace (several new additions every year).

As for flash: Some top flash photographers (David Hobby, Damien Lovegrove) are using Fujifilm cameras, so it can't be that bad if you know what you are doing. Also, the Nissin i40 is a great fit, and it already supports HSS in manual mode, which can be helpful in the field. Of course, Fuji has promised to enhance flash with wireless TTL, groups, TTL-HSS, flash in Continuous mode etc. And it would already have happened w/o the Metz bankruptcy.

Now, if all this is cause for terrible horror (or maybe even horrible terror), it might me better to move to a less scary place. After all, peace of mind and a calm sleep w/o nightmares are important values by themselves.

After user complaints about bugs in new firmware releases, this was the first time Fuji decided to hand-out a pre-release version of a firmware update to selected photographers in order to collect feedback (in a 2 week long period), then take another week to apply any fixes based on this feedback.

Before this, Fuji simply released software that was only tested within Fuji (and maybe a few trusted "buddies" like Zack Arias). I recommended a change of this restrictive policy, because it sounded reasonable to beta-test pre-release firmware in the field for a few weeks. Fuji listened, but I'm not sure if they will ever repeat this "experiment" after what has happened here.

When I installed the FW, I knew it was at my own risk. I won't blame Fuji for sure

Honestly, why would they even care? They stated that installing the pre-release version is not recommended and at your own risk.

Now, I am personally taking this risk every day, as I am taking more pictures with pre-release hardware and software than with production samples. I don't have sleepless nights about it, because I know that in case a camera or lens is fried, Fuji will replace the hardware and send the broken products to Tokyo for analysis. This happens, I still remember my first case before the X-Pro1 was announced at CES, when a new lens firmware for pre-production 18/35/60mm lenses fried many of them beyond repair. In the internal document for the firmware, Fuji forgot to mention which PP serial numbers the firmware was suitable for (and which not). So yes, even the serial number and production date of your camera and lens can make a difference, that's why pre-release testing is not public.

That's rarely the case, only in very early betas. I remember using 3 different T10 firmware versions with internal version numbers showing on the outside and at least 2 later ones with 1.00 showing up. I reckon that the internal 1.36 version eventually became the 1.00 version in the first batch of production models.

Of course, I usually know the internal number and usually have read a document stating bugs and omissions (and improvements over the last version). I also have methods/software to wipe cameras clean so that I can reinstall ANY firmware version when the camera wouldn't let me install the final firmware (it sometimes happens).

For the evaluation version of F4 that I have been using since early June, the document clearly stated that it would display 4.00 even though it isn't the final version.

Then again, what do I know, you made it clear in your posts that you know more about Fuji's firmware than I or Fujifilm. So I'm sure that you are right, I have no clue and Fuji is lying (as usual).

The reviewers, bloggers and special photographers also tested the X-T10 with a preview version (of the firmware).
As long as the firmware has no major bugs, you won't even notice that it is not the final version.

It seems you have no clue about software development.
Even if it is the latest beta / latest RC and there are no more changes from that point, it is not the RTM build.
And since I believe the Fuji devs are no idiots, they will exactly do that: tag the code as final at certain date and then build the RTM version.

And when Rico said that the feedback deadline was yesterday, it cannot be the final build.

You know, I don't care what you install on your camera, but don't cry afterwards that the Fuji support charges you for putting the final version on your camera.

Do you know the person who uploaded the original firmware to dropbox?
I guess not! So nobody knows which version this is of the firmware. It could be even the first beta out of who knows how many they made!
I have no time to test it this week so I rather wait a few more days to make sure I really got the final version
