One thing you should know when you're using old lenses is that you may have to set the WB manually. As I did some comparison shots with three different 50mm lenses I noticed that the Auto WB has some issues to create the right colour temperature. Each lens had its own colour/white and the pictures weren't looking as the image in real. Hope you understand what I mean.

...and f/0 is also inaccurate! By the way you need to use the dial on XC lenses/XF27 too. ...and not discuss with 10-body-owning-boasters that doesn't know that the aperture is one of the most important things for creativity in photography!!! So it is definitely important to know... to recreate a similar shot, to inspire others, to know where the lens has its nicest bokeh... Nearly every lens test/lens sample images shared on the internet display the used aperture (in the description)! You may wonder why but I know!

For the brave among us... You can get some kinda portrait shots with this lens. But everyone who owns this lens knows how close you have to go for such a shot! I just say arm's length!

Cause of the huge DOF this lens have, zone focusing is pretty easy!!! This shot is straight from the hip without using the screen nor the EVF. Rainbow on a hot & sunny day by KwyjiboVanDeKamp

Just 2 sec. self timer and a lot of luck and tries within 8 minutes of firework.

The right one is much nicer I think. Maybe the same lens but another aperture?! Don't know which lens you used.

For all the "bokeh lovin' flower close-up guys" out there: Cause of its minimum focus distance of 0,2m and the f/2.0 this lens has huge potential for these kind of shots!!! I really love the bokeh of this little ultra-wide-angle!!!! The shots are slightly edited jpeg snapshots without any perspective correction. (for full size click the image and choose original size on Flickr) Hope you like it. 1689 by Kwyjibo Van De Kamp
