  1. Quick question … I recently purchased a new X100T. The EVF mode doesn’t seem to be working correctly for me. It is very, very dim, and only once in a while (for a second) will lighten up. This occurs even when I’m pointing the lens at direct light sources and a well-lit objects. (I check the ND filter, and that’s not a problem. I also checked the EVF brightness level, and that’s not a problem.) In contrast, the OVF is very bright at all times. The problem may be related to the exposure compensation. On top, the dial is set to 0, but (on the screen in OVF or EVF mode) it seems to read -3. I tried to reset the camera, but that didn't fix the problem. Also strangely, the exposure compensation shows up in the EVF and OVF when we I set it NOT to show in the DISP. CUSTOM SETTING. At worst, I’ll send it back for a replacement. Thanks for any help!
  2. We share some common ground. Like you, I much prefer a 35mm FOV (and, in my case, even a 50mm FOV) over a 28mm FOV (and cannot do crop mode). For this reason, I have never really bonded with my Ricoh GR, nor the Leica Q that I owned for a short period of time. Previously, I also owned a Sony RX1r, but, while it has great IQ, I really never liked its functionality, haptics, and non-updated firmware. Thus, I have no interest in the RX1R II and, instead, may soon buy an X100T and, like you, would, without question, own a Leica Q35 if it becomes a reality.
  3. Paul: I really enjoyed your photos on Facebook--and find your above recommendation to be not only spot-on for photography, but also highly applicable to life in general. Very inspiring and full of wisdom.
  4. I, too, am interested to learn if people are still experincing camera warming/heating.
  5. I'm not sure about with the X-Pro2, but I have heard such about the X-Pro1. Chris Weeks mentioned it in his review of the X-Pro1 here: http://aphotocontributor.typepad.com/aphotocontributor/2012/10/digital-kool-aid.html
  6. I WAS tempted by the X-Pro2, but will wait it out to see if Fuji can address this and other noted problems. It seems Fuji thinks this tendency is "normal" because it occurs regularly. Hmmm ... In contrast, one could view it as "a problem that occurs regularly" (as a result of this higher performance camera not having sufficient heat dissipation). Don't get me wrong: it seems like a cool camera, and--of course--I hope it serves everyone well. (I, though, will be waiting to see how Fuji addresses this and other "normal problems.")
