I guess if he didn't like it he wouldn't have posted it.

i like fuji bodies , my 2 favorite being  the xe2 and x30...i have less fun with my xpro2 , and im very fond of my x100s\x100 also, the problems mentioned are found in all makers cameras  nikon canon olympus etc alll have their share of issues

but the fuji bodies , in spite of somewhat illogical menus  have controls schemes i consider essential with ss and aperture dials that are almost unique in the industry .they have  quality evfs and styling and superior build quality ,materials  and heritage [ japanese construction] at an affordable cost..... this synergy is unique  in the industry

the quality lenses .... best kit lens in history.... build and optics is great too... legacy lens friendliness...yes
but  the lenses would mean less to me on a sony body or canikon  plastic amorphous  meteorite  formfactor etc.

the fuji body and lens pairing is close to ideal , as far as im concerned

You need a wide, a normal and a telephoto.
My wide is the 16mm (but the 14mm is another good choice. Slower but wider, smaller and lighter. And the 18mm f2 is a good, small, low-priced alternative with a 28mm full-frame equivalent field of view)
My normal lens is the 35mm f2 (but you could have the slightly-wider 23mm or the 35 f1.4)
My telephoto is the 56mm, which is great for portraits (but people also like the super-sharp but bigger and heavier 90mm)
My fourth lens is a camera - the X100T. Which is why I don't have the all-purpose 23mm lens: this camera does that job and has some extra benefits besides - small, silent, fast flash sync.

This chart, from Ken Rockwell, is very useful. Bear in mind it's talking full-frame focal lengths.

Eeuw reacted to cug in I have an XT1. Would you recommend an XPRO1?
I think this is kind of backwards. Without seeing comparisons of what you need recommending either an X-Pro1 or X-Pro2 or a Leica M for that matter is totally useless. If you are having a G.A.S. attack so be it and I think that's what's actually going on.

Regarding the results: post pictures of what you like and comparisons from your X-T1 and it might be possible to give some hints. If you run into waxy skin, shoot raw, done. If you don't like some of the color/sharpness/noise reduction – shoot raw, define a personal preset of the setting as you want them to be and you're done. All without having to invest hundreds of dollars in new camera gear.

Sorry to say, but everybody who really thinks that going from one camera generation to the next will improve their images is day dreaming. To improve your images there are much simpler and much harder things to do: take better photos, learn to use your gear right, do proper post. That applies to all of us I believe, not a rant towards you.

Now, if this is just an excuse to get more Fuji gear: go for it. Everything that sells gear for Fuji is good for all of us ...
