You are much braver than I am; I would never attempt something like this.

Can you return it to the shop where you bought it? Based on this one image, it does look as though the lens has a problem.

Creating Lossless ACROS Files
DIS Ottawa replied to Mr. Vinyl's topic in Fuji X-Pro 1 / Fuji X-Pro 2 / Fuji X-Pro 3
I would be interested to hear if you print your now identical jpeg from the camera and your processed raw files at a good size, say 13x19, if you see a difference. For me, the print is the final goal and if there is no discernible difference between the two file formats, it begs the question "why are you not just shooting and printing jpeg"? I ususally shoot raw & jpeg and occasionally use the jpeg to post to Smugmug but always the raw file if I'm making a print. Of course, I'm not trying to match a film simulation, I'm trying, usually in Silver Efex Pro 2, to just make a good print. I haven't really used the Acros simulation yet but if I like it sufficiently, then if the jpeg with in camera tweaks if all I need, then so much the better. In any event, please let us know if the prints match.- 39 replies

Am I missing something, or does the X-Pro2 not have a panorama mode? It seems all the other Fuji cameras have it.

X-Pro 2 with XF 55-200 issue
DIS Ottawa replied to Philhifi's topic in Fuji X-Pro 1 / Fuji X-Pro 2 / Fuji X-Pro 3
The 27 mm doesn't have an aperture ring, so it must be changed by the command dial. That is not the case with the 55-200 so this option will not be available. -
A wonderful shot, the red tones predominate but the different shades of green also draw the eye. Simply lovely colours, the ethereal light on the tree and a strong composition add up to a stunning image. Well done!

A coffee shop, just off the street.

At one time, this river was used for logging and the slide was about 900 metres long and used to get the logs around the waterfall without damaging them.

This is in Western Quebec.

Thanks for the insight. I've taken a look at your site and there are a lot of really nice shots there. I particularly like "mint tea", "black and white shadow view", "view over Marrakesh", "inside", "relaxing", "reading" and "the long street". I recently was in South East Asia and China for nearly six weeks with only the X100T and the TCL-X100 and know why you're tempted to use only this camera. It truly is a small wonder.

Poulanass Waterfall - Wicklow, Ireland
DIS Ottawa replied to Reactivestills's topic in Landscape & Travel
A beautiful composition and I really like the muted colours from what appears to be an overcast and possibly rainy day. Great job! -
Very nice indeed; makes me want to go there. Is it true that the locals don't want to be photographed and can be quite aggressive if they catch you at it?

It seems to be a really nice shot. Bit hard to tell at this size though.

Great work! Particularly the last four shots. And yes, the watermarks are that bad, the last shot in colour being the most visible.

Some nice pictures on your site but way too many to go through. If I may make a suggestion, the idea of a forum such as this, generally, is to post pictures to this site, not to make a link to yours.

Welcome to the wonderful world of photography. Some good work here but if I may make a suggestion; think a bit more about what your subject is. While it's clear in some of these, in others the image is rather cluttered and the eye doesn't know where it's supposed to be looking. Hope this helps.

Really lovely shots; shame about the watermark.

Lovely shot, the colours are spectacular.

One more image.

Thank you! Much better.
