  1. What you say is true but not just of the sensor. Fuji doesn't make the microprocessors that control the camera either nor the various materials from which the shell is made and the list goes on. Complete vertical integration in manufacturing, if it ever existed, is just not practical. That said, I'm sure that Fuji has protected itself to ensure an ongoing supply from Sony.
  2. I doubt if it matters to them what was done to it. Warrantee does not cover water damage.
  3. I suspect Fuji would strongly recommend against total immersion of the X-T1. To my knowledge they make no claims that the camera is waterproof. It is designed to be safely used in the rain and cold, not underwater. The parking lot video illustrates the intended design goals of the camera (except for the part where he wipes the lens with his shirt). If the camera in the creek video survived repeated dunkings that speaks very well for it but I wouldn't do it.
  4. In the meantime, just switch it to Auto and start shooting.
  5. I'm more interested in how the X-T1 stacks up against the other MILCs, not against the D4s. I have no interest in a bulky DSLR. I like the Fuji system but I'm concerned that the AF technology just isn't in the same league with the competition for whatever reason. Would the rankings of these cameras still be the same today as it was a year ago? IMHO, the X-T1 is a pretty expensive camera to be exhibiting these shortcomings. Hell, even the X-T10 and the X-E2 are expensive cameras and they too should perform as well as their competition in this regard. IMHO. Still trying to decide on Fuji and this is a concern. I like the look and feel of the cameras, the sensor and the lenses. IQ is terrific. All good. But if the thing can't focus properly in a hurry it's all out the window. What to do...
  6. Just read both reviews. Rockwell is schizophrenic.
  7. Just read the Rockwell X-T10 review. I found it after reading through the "Rockwell blasts the X-T10" thread which eventually linked to his recent actual review of the camera. Very positive and informative. What part of the review did you disagree with?
