  1. A few weeks ago, this adapter was one of the most wanted on the list! It is the “electronic” version of KIPON BAVEYES adapter for Canon EF lenses on Fujifilm X body!! Electronically, it will allow autofocusing and iris control via camera body! New Kipon Baveyes EOS-FX AF Old Kipon Baveyes EOS-FX I also owned the original KIPON BAVEYES EOS-FX without the electronic. I used it mostly for work. Because “BAVEYES” is an x0.7 focal reducer! Easy math here = 50mm f/1.8 x 0.7 = 35mm f/1.26. Now if you multiply 35mm f/1.26 x crop factor (1.5) = then it appears as 52.5 f/1.89 (light transmission will remain as f/1.26). Yes, you will gain 1+ stop with this adapter. It has a micro USB port on the side which the company KIPON will deliver firmware updates to improve AF performance and accuracy. It was shipped with 1.10 firmware. I used the kipon firmware and software in order to update it to 1.12 for autofocus accuracy. Micro USB 2.0 data cable is a must (28AWG/4C). Here are samples were taken with lenses with KIPON BAVEYES EOS-FX AF: XT2 | Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM | Baveyes EOS-FX AF XT2 | Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM | Baveyes EOS-FX AF XT2 | Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM | Baveyes EOS-FX AF XE1 | Helios 44-1 58mm f/2 | Baveyes EOS-FX AF Helios 44-1 58mm f/2 | Baveyes EOS-FX AF XE1 | Helios 44-1 58mm f/2 | Baveyes EOS-FX AF X-T2 | Meyer Optik Orestor 50mm f/1.8 | KB EOS-FX AF PROS: Built quality Better optic design (Sharper than original Baveyes) Multi-coated X0.7 (1.05x crop factor, the “Full Frame Look”) Gain 1+ stop of light transmission F-stop info on the EXIF Geometric Distortion Correction Supports Image Stabilization Autofocus is very accuracy AF Speed is fast depending on the autofocus settings. Less Swirl than original Baveyes No sign of vignette unlike original Baveyes Lightweight than original Baveyes adapter Firmware updates CONS: Autofocus Speed might not be speedy on some older Fuji bodies and some Third party/older lenses. Some lenses aren’t compatible due to lens mount and body designs. Autofocusing can drains battery (manual focusing saves battery) Price isn’t cheap There are some lenses and an adapter with a design that is not compatible. If you look at Fotodiox M42-EOS adapter and Helios 40-2 85mm f/1.5, the design is the same on the rear mount which causing EOS-FX BAveyes AF not able to function. Canon EF 85mm f/1.2 L II and Canon EF 50mm f/1.2 L aren’t compatible due to protruding on the rear of the body. Kipon Baveyes AF is definitely a good investment if you are looking for the “Full Frame” look with Fujifilm’s Film Simulation, bokeh character adapt some lenses that are missing aperture ring only allows aperture control via Fujifilm bodies, accurate autofocus performance and lenses only available in EOS mounts from Carl Zeiss, Sigma, Rokinon, Tamron, etc.. I did not do much video testing but AF-C seem to autofocus smoothly depending on the lens and AF setting. Maybe Canon STM lenses would do a better job. I had used Canon 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM for the test here (Password is "7600"). For Non-EOS lenses like Contax Yashica 50mm ML f/1.9, Rikenon 55mm f/1.4, Nikkor-P.C 105mm f/2.5, Carl Zeiss 180mm f/2.8, Takumar 200mm f/3.5 and etc. delivered crispy sharp and excellent results with this adapter. Must use XX-EF adapter before adapting it to Kipon Baveyes EOS-FX. Fujifilm X-T2 | KIPON BAVEYES | CARL ZEISS JENA BIOMETAR 80MM f/2.8 Fujifilm X-T2 | KIPON BAVEYES | ROKINON 85 T1.5 CINE Fujifilm X-T2 | KIPON BAVEYES | NIKKOR-P.C 105 f/2.5 Fujifilm X-T2 | KIPON BAVEYES | CARL ZEISS JENA SONNAR 180MM f/2.8 TIPS/TRICKS: My best AF setting for accurate and fast autofocus on X-T2: Shutter release + AF giving me misfocus shots. So, I found that disabling on shutter release and remap AF-ON to the front button or back button as "front focus or back focus", it gives me very accurate results. Set AF/MF > AF > ALL When you press on joystick and turn rear scrolling dial, you will see WIDE, ZONE and SINGLE. I like WIDE more for accurate and fast autofocusing but if focus on something very specific or smaller then I would use SINGLE. My best MF setting: Set camera to RAW + Acros Film Simulation + High RED or WHITE Focus Peaking + MF Assist = Easy manual focusing results! Stay tuned for more updates and lens compatibility list!
  2. Most likely vintage lenses. If I have the funds, I would get the Fujinon MK lenses, Rokinon XEEN or SP lenses.
  3. I will be replacing X-T2 to X-H1 for filmmaking. I will continue to use X-E1 and X-T1 for photography.
  4. Cactus new firmware XTTL for Fuji is the most stable version so far. I tested it with X-T1 & X-T2. Not every flashes would work.
  5. If you want TTL & FP/HSS, buy two Cactus V6II... and wait til XTTL firmware releases sometimes in June.
  6. Cactus V6 II does supports Fujifilm X-T2 and the new Fujifilm GFX for HSS!!
  7. Gear: Fujifilm X-T1 | Rokinon 85mm | LTII | ƒ2 | 1/4000 | ISO 200 | Cactus V6II + FT-16 | Godox QT-600 BTS:
  8. CAMERA & FLASH SETUP: Camera System Set to Fujifilm. Flash System Set to Nikon. This not the only video I made. You will see it on my yt page.
  9. Another Fuji X-T1 owner got it working with same trigger but he had to use two triggers in order to use his Canon flash. I only needed one to put Godox trigger on top of it.
  10. I been waiting on the solution for two years now and here is the solution to get HSS working on Fujifilm X-T1 sucessfully!
  11. I have EOS-Fuji X Lens Turbo from Roxsen and EOS-Fuji X Lens Turbo II from ZY Optics. I been using it since June 2014. Original Lens Turbo is prone to flare like blue highlight spot at the center of the frame or any where the highlights shine the brightness. Lens Turbo II improved that flare issue/blue spot. LTI is fine for monochrome. LTII is great for both color and monochrome. Only thing you should be concern about, when using old glass to EOS-FX LTII, some glasses aren't multi-coated, so it'll flare. Some lenses have a rear optic that will touch the glass of Lens Turbo II, using a tape behind the lens will prevent it from hitting the glass. This why it is mostly design for modern glass which performs better. I also heard the same issue happended with M42-FX LTII adapter. Not all classic lenses have that sort of problem. I love using it, I used mostly M42 lenses and some EOS lenses like Rokinon 85mm T1.5 EOS. Any more questions.. let me know! Recommended? If you going to use EOS lenses like Rokinon or Canon EF, go for it. If you going to use classic lenses, you must find the right adapter before adapting it to EOS-FX LTII. Happy Thanksigiving!!
  12. Back in January 2015 I had shown some of my work shot on High ISO using X-T1 mostly in JPEG and even at the highest ISO setting click here Let me tell you what I learned... You'll lose details during high iso because the lens itself didn't have enough resolution power to combat the noise reduction processing. You might have to set turn on LMO option or you need to get the sharpest lens possible, maybe the macro lens or possibly a Zeiss Otus lens... You be the judge, test every lenses and compare it at ISO 6400... you'll find that some has more details than others, all depends on the lens. You will see what I meant. For safe area, I found that ISO 800-1250 should be fine. What is even better if Fujifilm decide to give us a firmware that allows option to disabled Noise Reduction completely.
  13. Every lenses seem to have their own characters. I shot everything using M42-EOS adapter to EOS-Fuji X Lens Turbo II (focal reducer)! Super-Macro-Takumar 50mm f/4 Super Takumar 50mm f/1.4 (Early Version/8 Elements) Rikenon 55mm f/1.4 Helios 58mm f/2 Non-M42 lens: Canon 50mm f/1.8 @ f/2.2 with the focal reducer adapter.
  14. I shoot with Rokinon 85mm with Lens Turbo II all the time... here's some of it shot on X-T1 + Rokinon 85 + Lens Turbo II
  15. Looks like the Nikon-Fuij X Ultra SB doesn't provided built-in apertuer blades but allowing us to control the aperture from the lens itself?
  16. It works with Canon raw files too... but in different folder like this: /Applications/Capture One.app/Contents/Frameworks/AppCore.framework/Versions/A/Resources/Profiles/ *PUT YOUR RENAME FILES THERE
  17. This definitely saving time for other camera models! I'm going to see if it works on classic Canon DSLRs too
  18. @fleckintosh: Thank You for your respond! Maybe I'll make one for X-T10 or other Fuji X cameras.
  19. How is the profile icc made? Was its a modified version off Film Simulations from Adobe Lightroom/Camera RAW presets or its made from the scratch?
  20. .Most of you will be proud, this is my first post. I have Rokinon 85mm T1.5 CINE (EOS Mount) which you listed it as Samyang 85mm f/1.4 VCSC. I owned it for nearly 10 months. I use it with EOS-FX ZY Optics Lens Turbo II (Focal Reducer). The lens really sharp wide open but critical to nail the focus because the DOF is very shallow... you will end up with small focus area where it's sharp, this why most people claimed its soft. If you stop it down to f/2.4 and up, it starts to get sharper all the way up to f/11 Bokeh performance doesn't have the characters of the classic vintage lenses. I owned many vintage lenses that needs to be mention. If you decide to get the lens, you might not be happy with bokeh but mostly happy with sharpness and how it handles CA very extremely well. My work speaks for itself, check out the samples here!
