So glad my wait will finally be over when I take delivery of the body and my 16-55mm f2.8 tomorrow morning. Sadly in order to get it had to cancel with B&H because they kept jacking me around........one minute it's coming tomorrow the next it's backordered with NO idea when it will be in. So called Brad Berger of Berger Bros. in NY. A great guy, and had my two items in stock coming tomorrow morning. He's got the grip and batteries to be delivered next week so then I'll get those as well. It's all good in the end, but quite disappointed about B&H. Dropped 5K with them last week just preparing with all the lenses I got from them
b&h screwed up my x-pro1 order big time. i preordered the body but they didn't bother to ship it out. and it was the day before passover began so i had to wait an entire week before i could even talk to a live human. that was the last time i'll ever order from them.

Delivered at 10:45a EST this morning. Ordered with Adorama yesterday while they had stock. Very impressed with their service. Can't play with it for now since I'm at work, but I'll probably get the battery charging.
ordered with adorama mid august. still waiting on the brown truck.

i spoke to an adorama customer service rep. and was told they have plenty of x-t2 cameras to go around for their pre-orders. they even have excess. however, the shipment came in yesterday, it's still being processed and none of the cameras will be shipped out until later today. we should receive them tomorrow.

you'd need an nd filter to slow the shutter speed down rather than lowering the iso. i recently shot 20-30s waterfall exposures in daylight at f/8ish and iso 200 and a 10 stop nd filter.

Did you blur in post? I am not criticizing. I like the feeling it gives the photo. Feels as if it sucks you in, but my eyes are drawn to the left and right top corners because they are so soft, then I am pulled through the image along the path and into the fog. More so the left.
thanks. i used nik's analog 2 and added a vignette and blur around the edges. i try not to use it often, but it seems to work on a few images.

thanks x-tc.

very interested in this. i would love to have the option between a small, light weight mirrorless camera for every day stuff and a larger medium format digital camera for work.

really beautiful. i love the colors.
-
thank you lluisig, i do the conversion in lightroom. i haven't had good luck by hitting the b&w button in lightroom, i just leave it in color. i slide the saturation slider to -100 and adjust the tones and contrast to fit the image.

thanks lluisg, much appreciated.

i use 5.11 backpacks for everything in life. they're used by the military and police and last forever. i like the molle modular system to easily attach other cases or a tripod to the bag. the bags are even designed to attach attach to another bag. wrap the camera and lenses in some lens wraps and throw them in. i used the 5.11 rush 12 on a recent trip, took most of my camera gear and it held it all with no issues. the bag is about the heigh and width of a normal backpack, maybe a little deeper. it held 3 camera bodies with lenses attached, another 5 lenses, tripod, filters, and more. the rush 24 is bigger, it easily accommodates my 17" laptop

a 100-400mm or similar is the last lens i had in my canon camera kit that i'm missing from the fuji. i'd also like something in the 70-200mm f/2.8 range, but not totally necessary.

i switched from the canon 5d mk ii to the fuji x-pro 1 was released. never looked back because loved the fact that my camera bag weighed less than i did without very much sacrifice. i work in a 24/7 dispatch facility so with my crazy hours and days i can go a month or more without picking up a camera or occasionally manage to shoot every day of the month. mostly interested in landscapes, travel and toy photography.

thanks guys. i've had a coworker tell me she couldn't print my photos without the big ugly watermark and there was no way she was hanging that on her walls at home. funny thing is, if i knew she was interested before she said that i probably would have just given her the prints...

all of the layers make for a really interesting composition, well done.

Focus point grid
in Fuji X-T2 / Fuji X-T20
Posted · Edited by roicead
if you're talking about the focus point selection then what I do is either half press the shutter or press the menu button and it goes away.
check your function buttons for the af selection and make sure that you're not pressing that fn button by accident. keep in mind that there's one on the front that you can accidentally press and if you have the batter grip there's another on the bottom side of the batter grip that the heel of my hand keeps hitting.
