  1. Took an X-Pro2 and a couple of lenses to the TT in June this year, to catch some of the action. Only had the 35 mm f2 and 50m f2 lenses. But the bikes can pass very close, and the idea was to get some of the location in the shots, otherwise it is just pictures of bikes that could be almost anywhere. The other thing is to get photos of certain riders, and they do not come past very often. And because it is a staggered start race against the clock, the leader could be in position 5 on the road. Overall I got my shots, but there were not hundreds of them. The biggest fail was the camera focused on some tall grass stalks that I did not even notice at the time, and a whole series of shots were wasted. But it worked ok. 2. Very enjoyable thread, a modest contribution from me: X-Pro2 50 mm f2 @ f 3.2 1/9000 sec ISO 200 Tulip spring by 660 Mattie, on Flickr
  3. This is a massive crop - about 10% of the original image. That will do just fine. X-Pro1 50 mm f2 @ f2 1/60 sec @ ISO 200 Desk top by 660 Mattie, on Flickr
  4. Mine should be here early next week - it is on its way. I kind of trust Fuji to get this right, without reading any reviews - after all it is a 50mm f2 fixed focal length lens, and figured they probably learnt how to do that already !

Thank you for you comment. I ride a Honda sportsbike and we post pictures of our (new) stuff on the forums - this the new Arai ! This picture is a test of the X-Pro2 and a prime lens. I felt the X-Pro2 should be up to the job of producing a quality image - this with different colours, highlights and some fine detail. The colours are quite bright in real life, and I am pleased with the way the X-Pro2 has captured it - unless anyone with a better eye can find any failings ?

  7. Just ordered an x-Pro2. 1. 4k, could not care less, not even a little bit 2. tilt screen is nice to have, but not really for what I want this camera for. 3. USB charging. I would rather have a double battery charger, so the camera can be used during the day, reloaded when I get back to the hotel, then head out again. The "Golden Hour" of late afternoon is not the time to be sitting in your hotel room waiting for a battery to charge ! I have had an X-T1 which was very competent, and now a second hand X-Pro1. I had an M7 years ago, shooting slides mostly, so not having a tilt screen or 4k is quite bearable really !
  8. X-Pro1 - bought second hand, as a cheap but quality travel/hobby camera. X-Pro2 will be next for sure, maybe early in 2017.

  10. Joined a while ago, when I had the X-T1, and posted a single picture and a single post. That went fine but sold it all, thinking to get the new Nikon D500. Then thought maybe get the X-Pro2, but wait until the X-T2 comes out. So no camera action, just reading endless reviews, head in a spin. Anyway, local camera store had a second hand X-Pro1 for sale, cheap, so bought that and a 35mm f2 lens. See how I get on with it. The plan is to use it in 2017 for the Isle of Man TT in June, and a trip to Japan in October. Money saved will go into the kitty to pay for these trips !! 12. Bought my X-T1 in December 2014. Love the results, love using he camera, love the lenses. And with the prospect of the X-Pro 2 or X-T2 on the horizon. I think I will stick around Fuji for a while, for sure. Guernsey Channel Islands.
