  1. So set the camera that way - RAW + JPG and you'd get Acros gpeg and RAW which you can colour grade as you want later on.
  2. RAW file is a structured database which store some metadata in its fields. One of the field contains the name of the film sim. put there by the Fujifilm camera. When you open RAW file in let say Capture One it applies its own preset of this film sim. to the image you see on the screen. Don't know whether LR does the same or not but anyway LR paints the image accordingly to some algorithm. So, what's bothered you in all this backstage bussines?
  3. I just came across this video where the author is faced with a dilemma to manipulate the image or not. Have a look - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWeHDWtMf2o
  4. As we already know it will have just horizontal tilt screen. Pity.
  5. He said camera stops shooting when it reach the infinity. That means that everything within DOF range would be in focus. So it looks like you might control "far end" by changing DOF. My guess.
  6. Have you seen this one? -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gouqhCSVdAY&t
  7. Sometimes I substitute X-E2 with X-T4 and see nothing wrong about image rendering )))
  8. Nop. I'm not familiar with AF speed boosters. I've talked about manual focusing lenses and the best option for them is Metabones speed boosters. Colour rendition may differs from x-lenses but you always can tweak it in post.
  9. Hi Mike. For me the screen design might be the main thing to consider. If you can put up with the selfie screen then X-T4 is the obvious choice, but if you prefer tilt screen, I'd take X-T3 plus some good speedbooster for your analog lenses which gives you FF look, improved sharpness and one stop of light gethering power.
  10. Well, blaming barebone OS that it's not fully supported some specific data formats is like complaining that living in the empty house is not comfortable enough. There are image, video, sound, etc editors intended for that.
  11. First, I keep my images either as raw or as prints and second I couldn't understand what your problem is.
  12. I think/hope this time Fuji could give us something valuable as X-E4 will be the last camera in line utilizing current tech and it's possible success won't affect any sales of their hi tier offerings. So why to miss an opportunity to get more profit.
  13. In C1 press F8 to create a virtual copy.
  14. Fuji cameras supported by C1 21 - https://www.captureone.com/en/resources/tech-specs/camera-support-fujifilm
  15. Capture One 21 supports X-S10
  16. You can't tether with C1 express. Should by Pro or Fuji version. Here you are their webinar you may find usefull - https://learn.captureone.com/webinars/improve-your-tethered-workflow/
  17. When X-E3 was introduced I looked forward to upgrade my X-E2 asap, but the real thing was a bitter letdown for me. It lost d-pad, built-in flash, has worse EVF, worse overall build quality. I don't need joystick, don't like poor implemented touch screen, don't like size reduction. So I wait for X-E4, though already don't expect anything exciting. It will hardly be ILC x100v which I want. I was ready to buy X-Pro3 but that screen (((... so I'm sitting on the fence and meanwhile upgrading my Hi-Fi setup.
  18. Search your manual for "PRE-AF" option. If ON camera should focus without pressing release botton.
  19. It might be quite subjective to tell yes or no. I have no problem to use 16-55mm on my X-E2 just use shoulder strap instead of wrist one.
  20. What a nonsense. If you are familiar with the software it take just a couple of minutes to proceed any flat raw file with basic adjustments like exposure - WB - film sims - sharpening - levels - etc - ... not a second longer then you spend on your jpegs wich are not intended to be post processed at all (it was explained millions of times already). and yes if you still want to edit jpegs in C1 it can handle it like any other imaging format. For me the most boring and time consuming part of PP is selecting those images that should be kept or deleted when you are back from photoshoot. Cheers.
  21. I think it's easy to lose the reputation this way. We may clear some garbage in post processing but sky replacement... I'm not sure you need it.
