After 20 years with Canon (EOS100, 300D, 5D2, 7D2) I ditched everything and moved to Fuji XH2S a year and a half ago. I had been holding out for a mirrorless 7D2 but was disappointed when the R7 was released and realised that the XH2S was actually what the R7 should have been, and Fuji seem to be the only company taking APSC seriously.
It also felt like Canon were pricing themselves out of the enthusiast market (£120 for a battery, come on!). Blocking third party lenses was the final straw for me as most of my lenses had been Sigma.
Anyway, I haven't looked back since. Is the XH2S perfect? No, but everything is a compromise and this gives me the best functionality/weight/price balance for what I do.
I shoot mainly wildlife and landscapes but occasionally other stuff like local events, all just for fun.

Hey, im from a small town just outside Glasgow. Im new to manual photography, and just bought a Fujifilm X-T20, with an 18-55mm lens. Its the best camera ive ever had. I love how easy it is to use, and customise exactly how you want. So far, ive just been taking photos of wildlife and birds.

Just dropping in to say hi! My names James, I originally joined years ago and then promptly sold my Fuji gear before posting even an intro. I’ve now got an X-H2 winging its way to me so hopefully I’ll hang about a bit longer this time 😬

    Hello all,
I'm electronics design engineer, joining up to the forum after converting to GFX from a decades long hobby photography with Nikon F (D50,D80,D200,D800). My most focus is on landscape, starscape and scenery photography, as well as lot of macro and product photo.
Looking forward to experiment with new to me GFX system and adapt some cheap lenses to it, since it's all just a hobby.

I tend to use X Raw Studio mostly to experiment with different settings rather than create jpegs - its also useful for setting up and storing custom settings rather than using the fiddly camera menu system.
As far as the 72 pixels per inch goes - I assume you are looking at the EXIF metadata - here is what Wikipedia says about those values "The XResolution and YResolution tags provide the number of pixels per length unit for the width and height of the image, respectively. (The length unit itself is specified by the tag ResolutionUnit.) By default, these tags in combination are set to 72 pixels per inch (ppi). These tags were inherited from the TIFF 6.0 standard and are required even though for images produced by digital cameras, image resolution values such as ppi are meaningless.

The only solution would be to change the profile to match the RAF settings - or just let the software make that change for you.

1.) No, no you do not. But, there is a menu option whereby you can enter a focal length for several manual lenses. This length (when a manual lens is on the body) is entered into the EXIF data. Note: You need to switch between the manual fl settings for the various manual lenses, the camera does not know which manual lens is attached.
2.) That would be a neat trick to have, but alas, no. Aperture Priority needs the camera to control the shutter speed, etc., while knowing the f-stop, but without any electrical contacts on the lens, …
Focus peaking works well enough as do the other manual focus assists the camera provides. This is because the assists use the image that hits the sensor, things such as good lighting, etc. are determining factors.
    This may help: https://blog.roycruz.com/using-manual-lenses-with-the-fuji-x-system/
    p.s. Welcome to the forum.
    edit: Dang typos!
Edit for 2.): As @thelostkiwi mentions, if you are fortunate enough to have a lens with an aperture ring, you can get Aperture Priority to work. Depending on the body you may need to set the Mode Selector switch to 'Auto' (this the switch under the shutter speed switch) and set the shutter speed to 'A'.

    Step # 6: Publish Thread
When you are done, click „Publish Thread“

Okay, technically just after sunset. but the last of the sunlight is still coloring the clouds moving in. The "star" in the lower mid section (just below the tree branch) is Jupiter.
