When I'm shooting street photography (or even landscape or architecture), I usually preset all my settings, and setup hyperfocal distance focus. As such, I do not want to accidentally knock focus out if I touch the focus ring on the lens barrel. Sometimes this can happen while I'm walking around and the camera is hanging from my strap. So I never know if I've disturbed the focus and now the camera is no longer ready for an instant shot.
So is there a way to turn OFF the lens barrel focus ring? it's seriously annoying to have that thing being so sensitive to just the slightest touch.
