CF Express Card issues
man-overboard replied to jgourley's topic in Fuji X-H1 / Fuji X-H2s / Fuji X-H2
I hope so. The only way is to try another reader. I am using two different ones Angelbird and Delkin Devices with no issues whatsoever. If another reader fails then it seems like the card. So hopefully it is not the card. -
GFX 100s Raw File and Profiles Question
man-overboard replied to NishNalbandian's topic in Fuji GFX 100 / GFX 100S / GFX 100R
I am using DxO Photo Lab 6.0 to handle my RAF files and I am very happy with it. I also have Capture One, but am using it less and less, and have been away from Adobe for a couple of years at least. -
Are you saying that Advanced Filter Mode, only affects JPG? If so only shooting RAW as I do should present any problem. On my X-H2S left hand physical dial there is a item marked FILTER. Never looked at it. Also I see the GFX100S thankfully seems to be free of 'advanced filter' option.

Anyone any idea what is the issue with this update and approximately when to expect the update to be available?

Good images, not that I have any love for the things.

Thank you!!!!! I wondered why I could not record Prores. Now I have rearranged so images go to slot 2 (SD) and video to slot 1 (CFE B). Do you have any other special settings for video apart from Prores?

I have just got a Gitzo Gimbal for both the H2S and GFX100S. No controls about from the two axis of movement but that is fine by me for what I will use it for. Fits well on my Gitzo monopod and Peak Design tripod. So far very happy with it.

Distortion on car photography 50mm F1.0
man-overboard replied to Alex909's topic in General Discussion
I use a Fujifilm 16mm i.e. a 24mm equivalent lens. I can do a whole car meeting with just that lens and the Fujifilm 33mm lens. In the past I have used 35mm/28mm on Leica cameras. At the next car meeting I will go to it will be the Fuji XF16mm and the GF 30 on a GFX. Have a look here: US Cars with XF16mm all shots with the 16mm and for a fun test, all videos with the GFX and GF 50. -
Video from Fuji cameras (X-H2S and GFX100S)
man-overboard replied to man-overboard's topic in Fuji X Lenses
I have solved my issue. Open a project and drag and drop the Fuji files straight into the timeline, rather than trying to import. I can then work as usual on the movie file. -
I have a small query re video files from both these super cameras. I also like very much to use Blackmagicdesign's Da Vinci Resolve. Much to my surprise Resolve does not like MP4 or MOV files from either of my cameras. Anyone know how to resolve this issue, a workaround or other information so I can use my favourite video editor?

Yes I bought the 100S with the 50mm 'pancake' lens, then the 30 and later the 80mm. The H2S started with 33/56 and then 56mm then 50-140 +1.4.

I too am back to Fuji X-H2S and GFX100S. Left for Hassie but many months after ordering the 3 new lenses I only had the 38V, so I gave up on them. The thinking behind it was if they are so like this with new orders what the heck will they be like for service or repair. Fuji I could walk in the shop and buy everything with 1 or 2 days notice. What's more I am very happy with both cameras and the lenses I chose. I hope I have killed GAS stone-dead.

As an experiment I went to the 9th US American car meeting in Kussnacht-am-Rigi, Switzerland with X-H2S and GFX100S. I knew cars would not be moving fast so decided to do the video on the GFX and the stills on the X-H2S just for fun. No images have been edited out of the cameras. I literally copied them stills and videos to computer and for the stills selected all and exported from DxO. For video of slow objects I am happy with the GFX. Happy until today when I wanted to use Da Vinci Resolve application to edit the files. Mostly US cars and some fab bikes GF50 on GFX and XF16 on X-H2S.

GFX 100s Focus Stacking

Page 98/99 of the English manual explains it I thought quite well. -
GFX 100s unable to turn off 24 hour time format
man-overboard replied to EliH's topic in Fuji GFX 100 / GFX 100S / GFX 100R
I am stumped as well! Do you have daylight GMT + 1:00 set or different, perhaps change that and see what gives. -

100S issue after update to V2.01
man-overboard replied to man-overboard's topic in Fuji GFX 100 / GFX 100S / GFX 100R
Yes I fully agree on this as an update. I would also like to see on all X, GFX bodies with two slots for memory cards, the ability to put all RAW on 1 slot, all JPG and MOV on the other. Also one thing I hate is the randomness of the way the camera itself chooses which slot to use after I have removed a card to put in a reader. Many times I have done that. Put card back in thinking it is now on card 1, until the next time I take the card out of slot 1, to find ZERO. All has gone to slot 2. I know there is an icon in the VF and screen, but that doesn't seem to help with this issue, which I gather from other threads in ages old issue. -
GFX 100s unable to turn off 24 hour time format
man-overboard replied to EliH's topic in Fuji GFX 100 / GFX 100S / GFX 100R
On my 100S V2.01 firmware this is no problem it shows 24/am-pm above and I can choose which I prefer. For me it is always military time, I make far less mistakes that way. By the way, the AM/PM does not show until I have cursored through the date and time to be on the 24H, then you can just simply choose AM/PM and accept. Screen shot shows that on mine that works after the firmware update.
