First impression of the face and eye detect features? Meh...

Tried 30 selfies with the 16 1.4, only 2 shots detected my eye. Taken from close by, but far enough for it to focus.

The rest remains to be seen. Continuous seems faster, but still nowhere near DSLR fast. Single AF point will remain my go to mode I guess for the time being.

So far so good for the 16 mm lens.  Focus is a bit faster.  Can't wait to use it during the day.

I am testing it with 56mm and it works great! Thanks, Fuji, well done!

Same for me. Lozeau (Montreal) had the leather half-cases before the cameras, then the cameras came in but they still had no grips in stock. I hadn't tried to pre-order so maybe that would have worked, but when I went to pick up my camera they didn't even have MGH-XT10 in their system :S

I really wanted to try it out before buying, but I'll probably give in and just buy it. I prefer the huge chunky grips from Really Right Stuff, but it looks like they haven't really been building that style for recent cameras (exists for X-E1/X-E2 but not X-T1), so I may be waiting forever with a hand cramp.

FWIW 35mm f/1.4 is fine with the half-case, but my new 16mm f/1.4 is super uncomfortable to hold with one hand for any period of time. Sure it's pretty much bigger than the whole camera, but I think a nice hefty grip would make a world of difference.

I don't understand why Fuji is so skimpy with the built-in grips. Who wouldn't welcome a little more by default? And even they they should still release add-on grips both for the arca-swiss plate and for those who want a truly DSLR-esque grip to hold on to.

Nice. It is actually a pretty decent camera. Got mine on the 18th. By the way, the metal grip is a necessity.

Weather sealing, unified design and updated focus motors in the entire current lineup !! For instance, why doesn't the 56 1.2 have a clutch and WR ? Just weird (unless it is an actual engineering issue that prevents it). Some consistency Fuji, please!

Show of hands, how many people out there have already or are planning on investing in 2 equal focal length primes for the same system even if they are not identical in features?

Because one that wants to work only or mostly with a 35, could like to keep that 1.4 for interiors, good weather but low light, or generally because that lens has a special character that is somewhat unique, and still want the F2 for when he goes to the beach, in the rain, a festival where beer might get thrown at it, you name it?

probably the 90mm as soon as it's out and then the 120mm 1:1 macro

That completes the most important things on my list. Oh, and the 16mm as soon as I can get a used one or save a few bucks. Just can't justify 1000€ right now.

Yes yes yes...buy the lens that fit your work/photographic needs. We all know this, but it doesn't stop us photographers from salivating over other lenses that we might not actually 'need' but rather 'want' for some reason or another. I have this problem and I will eventually find the means/reason to buy them lol. In the meanwhile, here's my wishlist...

    1. XF16-55 F2.8 R LM WR (want to sell of the XF 18-55 for this)

    2. XF50-140 F2.8 R LM OIS WR

    3. XF56 F1.2R APD

    4. XF10-24 F4 R OIS (pls Fuji...make a WR version for this lens....pls)

    What are some of yours?
