  1. I’m on both forums and use both cameras almost everyday (Xpro 3 and TL2)
  2. Hi, Pete! It could just be the processing of the photo you took and that’s why it’s taking slightly longer. For example, on my xpro 3, if I take a photo using a regular built in color profile it’ll be pretty instantaneous. But if I use one of my custom color profiles that I created, I noticed it takes a slight bit longer for the pic to process. Enjoy your camera and welcome to the world of photography!
  3. I use it 50/50 on my xpro 3. I like the EVF because it shows me exactly what the photo is going to look like if I’m using a film sim like BW, etc. but if I’m using the OVF, I can still bring up a small preview window that gives me a solid idea of what it’ll look like too. I go back and forth depending on how I feel like shooting that day
  4. Have a new xpro 3 only a couple of weeks old and noticing that the right thumb area rubber seems to be held on rather weakly (the vertical rubber trim by the black and Q buttons). The edge starts peeling a bit if you graze your thumb along it while holding the camera body. Is there a fix to this? Also, is this a part of the cameras weather sealing, or is it just s stick-on piece of external rubber to help with grip?
  5. For the price and versatility, the 23mm f2 R WR can’t go wrong. Focuses up close, a nice middle between standard and wide angle view, etc.
  6. For anyone who started photography in the film era before digital, the Xpro 3 would feel right at home. I started my photo journey in the film era with a Minolta X700 and Canon F1. The xpro 3 pretty much takes me back to exactly how it felt before. No ridiculous 1000+ features, of which most I’ll never use, etc. It’s well laid out and designed from a purist standpoint. It just gets out of the way and lets me shoot the photos. I didn’t check the back of my film door to look at the picture I just took with my X700, so I don’t have that expectation on my Xpro 3 either. Now for people who grew up digital and never shot film cameras, it might be the backwards situation for them. They might feel like why do I have less when my other digital has so much more. It’s important to remember that the Xpro is all about the “less is more” experience. It might not be a home run sales hit like a Sony A7, but for who the Xpro line is made for, I’d say it was/is a massive success. Many times they’re completely sold out and you can’t even get one unless you jump on the ball soon as they come up for sale.
  7. I shoot mostly Pentax and Leica before the xpro 3. The reason I like that camera so much is that it gets back to basics. It’s probably one of the closest in terms of reminding me of the Leica…it just gives you what you need and gets out of the way to let you just focus on taking photos. Many other companies overload it with hundreds of ‘features’ that you’ll never even use. Also they put way too many buttons for this and that. My only gripes with the xpro 3 is that the photo delete button is in a strange location and that the menu system could definitely use some work. Overall it doesn’t bother me that much because I spend what, maybe one or two percent of my time actually in the menus? Not a big deal at all. One HUGE thing I like about the Fuji xpro 3 is the weight of it. I still can’t get over how light the camera is. If you’re carrying a camera all day long, every ounce adds up
  8. In my honest opinion, you have to look at the demographics of consumers for each brand. Leica typically has the ‘hardcore’ purists that demand simple and traditional. Fuji, for the most part, has consumers that grew up with digital cameras that have a rear display, are more forwards than traditional, etc. They want something that LOOKS traditional, but they want the modern/future experience. I guess can’t have your cake and eat it too. Leica and Fuji cameras are both stellar, as well as the xpro 3. It’s a breath of fresh air from all the cookie cutter cameras on the market. And it’s even fresher air that you can get a majority of the M camera experience at a fraction of the cost, especially that it has AF for those with bad eyesight.
  9. Welcome! I’m a new Fuji shooter as well and have Pentax equipment for a long time now. Loving them both, especially the Fuji!
  10. Hello, I recently got an xpro 3 and I have to say what a fun experience! It takes me back to when I first started photography before digital cameras existed. With that said, I’m curious how to clean the front viewfinder element? I keep accidentally putting my left finger on it out of habit when holding the camera. The manual is very vague in care description and only mentions a soft cloth, so I’m guessing that’s the method but thought I’d ask other owners. Also, with the front viewfinder glass exposed, how durable is it? Will it hold up overtime with use? Thank you in advance and looking forwards to learning more about this wonderful camera
