  1. I use on1Photo Raw seems to do the job just fine also from what I have gleaned on the internet and other photo forums its the Jpegs above 16meg which have the problem with X-T2 I don't get any problems with raw files in LR/ then I have LR set to not DeNoise/on startup as it adds 25% when you first open LR but you can set a default to stop it from de-noising/sharpening when it starts that's what I do and it works for me I use on1 for de-noising Tom G Scotland
  2. I use Nisi filter system but before I bought anything I read a lot of reviews, and bought a lot of the cheaper filters circular ones and some of the cheaper ones are just as good as the Lee/Nisi, and many more makes, you read a review and someone recommends a certain filter the next review you read someone critics that filter believe me the more expensive filters, you are paying for the name that's all. Lee have bad colour cast but the say they have no colour cast all the filter makers claim the same, you can fix in LR/PP you have to make the decision, why did I go for Nisi it was just advertised with more spin/ but so far it has served me well yes there is a little colour cast but as far as I'm concerned, there are NONE that are perfect just my opinion and rant (I have nothing to do with Nisi ) Tom G Scotland
  3. its the one Fuji lens I got rid of its not up to the high Fuji standard at all. I would look at the 55-200 far superior lens if you want a bit of distance just my opinion, Tom G Scotland
  4. Hi all thought I would comment here on1 just gets better and better I have been using it for past 9mths and with every update it keeps adding more and more, next update I think we will get merging Panoramas and focus stacking, HDR stacking and various other fixes. I got rid of light room and Photoshop I now use Serif Affinity and on1 get by just fine yes Lightroom was and is very good but not so good with Fuji X-T2 if you have to remove noise in my opinion and I don't have to pay a fee every month its not a matter of paying the fee to Adobe, its the principal of paying I like to own my software, and one more point Adobe treats its customers like £/$ signs that's all you are just look at the stand alone LR you never get the updates that CC/users get, just not good enough well I have ranted enough but seriously on1PhotoRaw is worth trying out you get a free trial and so is Serif-Affinity two upcoming software programs in my opinion I have nothin to do with either of them but I bought both and I'm glad I have them great with Fuji files Tom G Scotland
  5. I would set camera on tripod and move the focus point to the bottom of image and then move the focus point up a little each frame i.e..focus stacking that gives good results no harm in trying Tom G Scotland
  6. Thanks for all the comments yes these images were posted in a bit of a hurry so I will take my time when I post any images in future and get them wright Tom G Scotland
  7. Hi all there was a fire behind my house of a car repair shed I say shed because it was a total eyesore its a corrugated barn type shed so it will be pulled down shortly the police had evacuated the houses, so my wife and I spent the night at a friends home, I was delighted it was on fire as it spoils my view, I was also delighted that I had my X-T2 so got some good phots and sent them to my local paper whom used them, see below: had to resize files 1000kb hope the look ok had to downsize from 40meg to 800/900kb anyway that was my excitement for last Sunday evening the fire had started after they put an old sofa and chairs round the side and set it alight then they proceeded to throw a large cupboard on the fire, I mean anyone with half a brain would not have placed old furniture up against a corrugated shed then set alight the Fuji is a great camera I Love my X-T2 Tom G Scotland
  8. that's what I use plus the 55-200 great lens Tom G Scotland
  9. Hi all I never seem to be out of T-mode on my X-T2 these days its great landscape mode its a great mode when on the tripod and free hand what do others think of the T-Mode your opinions appreciated Thank You Tom G Scotland
  10. I Love my X-T2 and my Nikon D7200 wonderful cameras Tom G Scotland
  11. Ken Rockwell's that's him who SMELLS the camera before he criticises it all Rockwell's interested in is making monies he would promote sh-te if you pay him enough Tom G
  12. I would NOT be interested in a 200mm lens and I don't think many would just my thoughts and opinion but as I have the Fuji X-T2 and also I have my Nikon d7200 I find the Tamron 70-300 lens excellent for the price of £320 and is much better than the Nikon equivalent lens I wish Fuji would bring out a 70-300 I think there would be more interest if it was sold at a modest price say £499, I just find the Fuji 100-400 a little to expensive for me, again my thoughts what do others think? 13. hi all I have been using the latest version 17.5 of on1PhotoRaw and it only gets better and better every month with the updates, my Fujifilm X-T2 Raw files are fine see this short video if you have time using the detail slider in on1 I find a big difference with my raw files and the next upgrade at end of month will only make things better in my opinion https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_1UJ-XWsXU&t=24s Tom G Scotland
  14. Who cares what Rockwell thinks, X-T1 probably to complicated for him ??? Tom G
