  1. Here's a wedding shot on the beta version of firmware 4.0 two weeks ago: http://www.felipeyangphoto.com/journal/2015/7/7/alex-leah-wedding-fort-macarthur-san-pedro-ca Had some minor hiccups but was much better than before. I also shot a wedding with the final version of 4.0 this past weekend and it went even better. I'll post those pictures up in a week or two.
  2. I spent almost a year learning the X-T1 before feeling comfortable using it for paid events. Now I won't look back as I'm much more efficient shooting with two X-T1s than with my now sold two Canon 5DMKIIIs. The beta version of 4.0 made it a breeze to shoot a wedding last week with very little issues. The one issue I encountered was due to user error. I tried using AF-C with the Electronic Shutter and it obviously failed. With the Mechanical Shutter it worked as well as I'd hoped, much better than before.
  3. Yup, got same ones. If you're on a Mac, you can go to Terminal and type "MD5 FWP005.DAT" in the folder you have it in and get the same results.
  4. I also checked the MD5 and they are indeed different. Are you running it on the same file by accident?
  5. That's good to hear. I shot a wedding last week with the beta version and it performed pretty well in low light but could have used a little improvement. Look forward to testing it for my wedding next weekend.
  6. As confirmed previously, I was able to update the firmware from the Beta to this latest version with no issues. Although I still suspect it was an early leak of the final version. Comparing the byte size of each file shows them as identical. Maybe the changes were minimal if it was indeed a release candidate or beta.
  7. I used two X-T1s with the 4.0 firmware this past weekend for a rehearsal dinner and a wedding and they performed much better than any previous event. There were a few missed focus shots but I attribute part of them to my user error. Overall, hunting in low light is significantly reduced. I will post pictures in my blog next week and will link to it here.
  8. Tested it with the tracking with AF-C on the 50-140mm and it's much improved. I had trouble locking focus before but now it works as it should have. Overall focusing is much better. I also love using the command dial to change the shutter speed across all ranges in T mode, it's very nifty. I'm going to shoot an engagement session, a rehearsal dinner, and a wedding with my two X-T1s the next 3 days and will let you know if anything weird happens.
