To indulge in a bit of pointless speculation for a moment, perhaps the lack of strategy relates to the X-E line more generally. Perhaps Fuji are still undecided about an 'X-E3'. No X-E3 and a major FW update to appease the user base; or an X-E3 next year and a more limited FW update to keep us engaged. Perhaps it's that X-E strategy that Fuji needs to work out first before settling on a FW strategy. Like I said, just a bit of pointless speculation on a quiet Sunday afternoon

Thanks for this, An interesting take and certainly seems to show a surprisingly significant change. I might have to look at 6.1 again. It's also fun to run it through Google translate and read the results. I particularly liked the bit about "The X-Trans separate spiritual world" - appropriate enough given the religious like zeal of some Fuji users

Sorry to hear that. Yes, they told us that too. We ignored them.

Have fun. It's a great adventure. Good on you for adopting one of the local dogs. We did this when we were in Albania and we're looking for another one now in Manila. They're great dogs. Make time to take plenty of pictures. Every time I leave a place I always wish I'd taken more.

Coming at the question from a slightly different angle, my take on the Fuji X-E2 I use is that it doesn't frustrate me. I think every other camera I have ever used except for the Panasonic LX3 frustrated me to some degree when shooting. I switched from the Sony NEX's (latterly the NEX-7) to the Fuji and the most immediately striking thing was that the Fuji just got out of the way and let me get on with shooting to the point where I forgot about the camera.

So could I suggest that you do as I do and simply ignore the stuff you don't like? Whether you like it our not lots of people do like speculating and dreaming about camera gear still to come. As you noted, this forum has its origins in a camera rumour site so out should come as no surprise that it is even more common here. If you're not interested,or you think it's pointless, why not just ignore it?

If this were an X-30 type camera as opposed to an X-S1 type camera I would be interested. I have the RX100 (original version) and am looking to replace it. Right now, replacing the RX100 with any of Fuji's fixed zoom compacts would be backward step for me, but if Fuji came out with a serious RX100 competitor I would definitely be looking at it.

I have one of these that I got from Amazon that I use when I'm travelling. I've found it reliable enough that I don't bother with the standard charger when I'm travelling. I have charged batteries in it using an Anker power pack (I have the E4).

I know we have a zoo thread but I think pandas deserve one of their own. So here are the first few shots of the pandas at the National Zoo in Washington DC I took recently. These are both of the two year old panda called Bao Bao. If they're a little soft it's because they were shot through a thick pane of toughened glass. This is also the source of the reflections in the first shot. X-E2 with XF55-200.

Some of us include links to personal websites, blogs, flickr etc. in our signature line. It's a simple matter to click through and see the kind of work each of us does. I think it would be great if more members provided these links.
