I would like to suggest an update for all XT models. The current image of the light meter in the viewfinder is too crowded for many photographers using MANUAL LENSES: (A) The crunch of numbers on the scale creates too much to observe when in MANUAL mode. For many photographers, simple hatch marks at 1 stop intervals would be more intuitive and faster to set. Also, (B) the tiny pointer snaps in increments, which is disturbing and much less intuitive in Manual mode while the photographer is turning the continuous f-stop ring. As with a 1990s SLR, it would be more useful for working quickly to have an analog needle moving continuously in an arc as illustrated in the file uploaded below. While some may be fine with the current design, there are certainly many who would love the option.
Please consider making this an option in an update, even if it is released as a standalone add-on rather than as part of an overall update. I feel this simple addition would be of great help to those who shoot with manual lenses, and would be consistent with Fuji’s philosophy of supporting manual photography. Thanks.
