I am very new to the XH2 but bought it mainly for macro, woth the 80mm.
I haven't got a flash yet but in sunny weather I habe been able to take some pretty great macro shots of flowers and insects. (Nothing pro-level, just happy the eyes are in focus and background looks o.k.)

There are howeverr a few points that strike out:The lack of traditional eyelets for a belt , means you can put the camera flat on a table on any side , maybe use the lens cap to prop it up and get 20, 40, etc second exposures on basically anything that you can get in its field of view.
I own a tripod and macro rail,  but just putting the camera down on a table and get insanely detailed images of  wear and marks on your keys is  pretty cool. (And make for a pretty cool lock screen wallpaper)
I tried this with apples, pocket knives, candles etc. and have found a lot of joy in seeing so much detail in mundane objest without any specialized gear.
The other thing is that the 40 megapixels allows for insane cropping: you can crop a portrait oriented picture from a landscape photo en still end up with a 20-ish megapixel result.

The grip on the XH2 is also much nicer with the 80mm macro than the XT5.

The picture below is a tiny wasp like creature, perhaps 0.5 cm long, and this is a SOOC JPEG, with at most 5% saturation and maybe a bit of contrast added. (The litt.e bugger looked blue when I spotted it, but on camera   this is what it actually looked like, this is a 20 is mp crop, the flower it sits on is about 1cm wide.)

Not proper macro shots, but I took these on my X-T4 with the 16-80 kit lens and macro extension tube.

I use the Lowepro Flipside 450, but it is more of a daysack than a proper hiking/camping bag.  It splits the body into two compartments, the lower with back access for camera gear and the upper compartment for general purpose stuff, although the divider is not sealed and can be removed, if desired, to make the bag more like a conventional rucksack.  I usually carry a small pop-up umbrella, snacks, a lightweight waterproof jacket, spare batteries, cleaning cloth and a 1m diameter folding reflector (for natural reflected sidelighting or as a shade while doing macro).
It has a front zipped area that can house a pad or small laptop that could easily hold a hydration bag of some sort, but I bring along my camera manual for light reading!!  I usually carry a water bottle or flask in one of the side mesh pockets and a travel tripod in the other side.
I wouldn't like to use it for extended camping out, though
On a recent trip abroad I used it as my walk-on flight luggage.  Having taken out the photography gear I didn't need to carry with me on the trip I used the empty spaces in the camera compartment to take spare underwear, socks, t-shirt and wash kit with me.  It was all very organised!!

He’s wrong about all of it and I seriously doubt he used the camera.

I had the X-T3, sold it for the X-T4, and 2 years later I preordered the X-H2s.  I have had it since launch and here’s a quick rebuttals to that garbage review.

First, the people he spoke about, saying they backed up his claims…
Casey from Camera Conspiracies, only tried the pre-release and has since taken one on loan… He loves the thing now.
Gerald from Gerald Undone, said the camera’s DR is excellent, Still image capture AF is awesome, and he said thanks to the noise properties he can actually make the video better quality than the A1 (that’s impressive).
DPReview, said they wouldn’t rank the camera or comment on most aspects until they got a full retail version of it and that review is happening now.

Second, he ignored the stacked sensor and the improved AF speed completely.  Then he made assumptions based on his ignorance of the camera and how it functions.  He claimed they didn’t think the design through, but his own complaints show he didn’t think it through.

I had the X-T4 sitting right beside the new body for about a week… The build quality was very much on par with the X-T4 and yet he praised one while panning the other.  So which is it, is the build quality of the X-T4 cheap, or is the X-H2S actually decent build quality.

Then of course he tried to equate knowing the X-T4 with knowing this camera and I can tell you they could not be further apart in the way they operate and still be a Fuji body.

Many of us have action photos, portraits, BIF, and animal portraits, yet he seems to proclaim it is the worst camera ever.

Of course he focused on 1 thing obsessively, that’s the fact that the dials don’t have any push button capabilities. Then he also made a comment that gave away his motivation for the whole review away… Fuji wouldn’t give him a body to review, so he rented or purchased one and panned the whole camera.

Oh and as for Muddy images… I set both the X-H2S and the X-T4 to the same settings and swapped the lenses from body to body.  The image quality was pretty much identical, so you can ignore that garbage claim too.

Still saving for my 80mm macro lens, so I was pottering around in the garden when I came across a bumble bee.  Had to shoot it with what I had on me at the time:
    X-T4, 35mm at F11, ISO 200, 1/250 sec
