  1. Welcome to the wonderful world of Fujifilm. At the moment it's just the dial that controls ISO. At first I found it a little uncomfortable to use however after a few months of use I now really like it and now don't have to take the camera away from my eye to change ISO. It's probably not as quick as a button push followed by few clicks of another button but it's not far off.
  2. I've owned the X Pro1, now own two X Pro2s. The X Pro2 viewfinder is a vast improvement. The refresh rate and the way information is displayed is much better. The camera is more responsive and the autofocus is in a completely different league. Last week I used the X Pro2 professionally at a motorsport event, cars coming towards me at 100mph+ in misty conditions, not a single missed shot. The X Pro2 is in a completely different league in every area. If you liked the handling and form factor of the X Pro1 but didn't like the EVF then I think you'll love the X Pro2.
  3. All good with mine, shutter speeds and apertures display as they should.
  4. I've tried both of my X Pro2s' with the Fujifilm remote app and can't get either of them to work correctly. I've downloaded the app on my iPad 4 and iPhone 5c and get the same issue on both devices. The camera connects as it should do and allows me to take one picture. The phone/iPad then displays 'Processing' and locks up. The app will allow the transfer of images already on the camera SD cards and will allow video to be recorded but will take no more than one still image. I've tried all combinations of JPEG size and memory card slots, both slots set to JPEG and have removed a reinstalled the app on both devices but no joy. The app works perfectly with my X30. Any ideas on what else I can try?
  5. This may be a reloaded video however here's the link to a short review on the Fujifilm 23mm f/2.
  6. If it's anything like the X Pro2 the C setting allows for exposure compensation up to 5 stops and/or control of exposure compensation via a command dial.
  7. No problem, looks like it's no longer for sale now. I'd love to know how the seller got his hands on it.
  8. The normal/boost setting on the grip looks interesting, could this be a high performance mode?
  9. Just seen this on Ebay UK. Very interesting. Ebay item number 231927700646. Looking at the payment terms, I wouldn't buy it!

  11. I emailed Fujifilm UK last week about this issue, yesterday I received this reply from them: Thank you for contacting FUJIFILM UK. We are sorry to hear you are experiencing a problem and can confirm, there is no known issue in regards to what you are describing. We would suggest returning the camera to the retailer for an exchange, and we will pass your feedback to FUJIFILM Japan. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.
  12. I've been using the camera for a few days and on three occasions the camera has self reset to the factory settings. All of my custom function button setting have been lost, 'my menu' settings have gone. Not at all impressed by this. I'm going to return it to the retailer at the weekend. Anyone else have this problem?
  13. I have the same issue with my X Pro2. I've owned the camera for a few days and on three occasions the camera has self reset to the factory settings. All of 'my menu' settings also disappear along with all of the custom Q menu settings. I'm going to return it to the retailer this weekend.
  14. Try this, hold down the delete button for a couple of seconds then whilst holding it down push in the centre of the command dial. At first I could not get it to work as with my previous camera you pushed two buttons down at the same time rather than holding down one first followed by another.
  15. Yep it's just awful, if I shoot wide open, under expose by 5 stops then recover the image in Lightroom and boost the shadows by 200% you can really see how bad the lens is
  16. Hi, I use my Fujis all the time for concerts. These shots were captured with my XPro 1 and 18mm f2.
  17. I use a couple of bodies when shooting weddings and currently use an Optec double camera strap. It's a great piece of kit, I like the way the cameras hang to my side allowing me to change body very quickly however it's a little over the top for two small bodies with prime lenses. Does anyone know of a simple narrow double strap? I've looked at the narrow BlackRapid strap but it looks too military to me.
  18. I have used EX Pro batteries for a couple of years with no problems. They last almost as long as the original Fujifilm battery and are a fraction of the price.
  19. My X-T1 allows me to lock all of the controls so that none of the buttons function when pushed, it's great to use if I hand the camera to someone else to take a picture, when using bulky gloves as it prevents accidental button pushing or if my young Daughter wants to use the camera to take some snaps. Can I lock all of the controls on my X30?
  20. 14, 23 & 56mm cover 90% of my wedding photography.
  21. I use a 14mm and a 23mm, they complement each other very well. I found the 35mm a little to long (focal length wise) for street photography.
  22. I love this little printer. When I have finished shooting a wedding I find a quiet place to sit and pick 10 images from the day then send them to my iPad, edit them and print using the SP1. I then put the 10 prints in a wooden presentation box and hand it to the bride as a special thank you gift. The brides always love it.
  23. I used my brace of X T1s and my 50-140mm f2.8 over the weekend at Brands Hatch motor circuit and was very surprised by how fast and accurate the continious AF was. I also use them for concert and music photography where the subjects move quickly and are often in poor light and have also been very happy with the results. They are so much better than my old X Pro1. I'm really looking forward to the new AF functions on the coming firmware update.
